You mean the ball that was basically swept aside in hopes viewers would forget it after the arc was aborted? The GS ball artwork in Crystal looks nothing like the anime design, either.
The exclamation marks are too uninspired too. The Pikachu/Eevee ones used the tails for a much more attractive design. I'd expect them to incorporate something unique from Wooper's design, like the belly markings and/or the axolotl gills, and they'd make the Togepi one reference Togepi's cracked egg shape or head.
