Today's pokemon don't have evolutionary lines, but they all have a 'counterpart' pokemon of sorts. This may be a pokemon with a similar appearance, similar stats, found in the same location in the other game version, it may have an inverted gender ratio, a rivalry, a pokedex entry next to the other, and more. Basically, these 'pairs' are all connected in some way despite not evolving into each other. You can vote on any criteria you wish, but know that the winners today (or top 2-3 maybe) will split and face each other tomorrow, so if you like one of a duo but dislike the other, bear that in mind. Also please feel free to note which you prefer in each pair!

Sableye/Mawile, Plusle/Minun, and Lunatone/Solrock have been in polls already. Legendaries with counterparts will be in a different poll, and we're sticking to single stage pokemon today (so no Nidorans etc).

They're version exclusives with equal but shuffled base stats.

Miltank has a more horrific idle animation then any other Poke.

Voted Zangoose and Seviper. Zangoose is quite a bit ahead of the others, for me.

Zangoose is one of my favorites from RSE. Easy vote.

I feel like I should like Zangoose in theory but he just seems boring. Voted grandpa dragon cause he's great.

Might have to bump Drampa up a bit

Drampa is hilarious, I like that its personality carries over into New Snap where it goes berserk on you if you attack one of the Pancham. Turtonator on the other hand is one of the most forgettable pokemon to me, the poor thing has been given absolutely nothing to work with.

huh i never thought about miltank being made as a tauros counterpart before, that explains a lot

kinda awkward when bouffalant also exists now though, way easier to associate them

anyway i like seviper and zangoose, their rivalry is obviously natural and convincing
