You mean the way that pretty much all media does in the modern age, regardless of political leanings, mainly because "crazy" and "outrage" get better ratings?

Think of some of the most ridiculous clickbait article titles you've seen on the Internet. That's basically what the 24-hour news cycle and competing for-profit news channels have turned "the news" into in general, because the drive to get eyes on your product outweighs anything even remotely resembling "the truth".

Any time a given movement or group begins to push an ideological agenda, regardless of what that agenda is, or which "side" it's on, broadcast news will almost always present things in a way that encourages the viewer to simultaneously be angry about but also somewhat mocking of the group in question. Because humans are terrible and that's exactly the sort of narrative that pulls ratings.

Let's be honest here, the only reason the America and the European Union enjoy wealth today all started hundreds of years of ago beginning with one Christopher Columbus when he stumbled upon what is today Haiti.

The insidious nature of the colonization of the Americas, which started in Haiti, not only terrorized the people who lived there at the time; it also created a system that kept (((((((( indigenous peoples in slavery or perpetual poverty,)))))))) while Europe basked in wealth.

America was founded on and built by slave labor and land theft and no one can argue that. Even today in America we can still see the brutality of those slave plantations in our current capitalistic system which preys upon people of color who work for minimal pay while doing laborious manual intensive labor. The blueprint for that was laid out on those slave plantations many moons ago.

I think the point being made is that minorities are disproportionally turned down for jobs or promotions. In a fully equitable society, white people would be less likely to receive these things (compared to now).

Lol it doesn't surprise me that some sjw would try and actually explain how these bullet points aren't hilariously stupid. I'd also point out that few white Europeans enjoyed a share of the colossal fortunes made by traders, planters and speculators in the heyday of Europe's colonial adventures. In fact, industrialists made much of their private wealth off the backs of sweated "free" labour -- drones working for long hours in appalling conditions in factories for very little money, and condemned to ill health and an early death (very early for shockingly high numbers of infants) in overcrowded urban slums. Most of us weren't overlords revelling in ill-gotten wealth.

I'd like to see these bullet points in context. The thing about jobs is DEFINITELY out of context. This is on Rufo's twitter, but not in the Fox News screencap: it's missing the point about promotions a person of colour got passed over for going to a less qualified white person. A white person serious about confronting racism can't just go, "I don't like it but whatever, got mine."

1. False, and what does this even mean anyway? Physical comfort, how? I am not discomforted by the presence or uplifting of PoC. Emotional comfort, from what? Not having to do any introspection and self-improvement? Not having to actually worry about problems in the world and therefore be able to sit back and ignore them while they fester like useless dead-weight? If that's what comfort means, then I don't want it; I have no interest in maintaining apathy in the face of potential improvement.
2. False, and to suggest that uplifting PoC would cause us to lose it is quite telling.
3. Honestly this is the one that really betrays what all this is about. Doesn't even warrant a proper response; it's just gross. :-/
4. False. No one's forcing you to do jack shit with your relationships. This is projection from people who want to tell you which adults you can and can't marry, and some of whom want to control whether or not you can divorce, whether or not you can control if/when you have children, etc... where do they get off trying to fearmonger about your personal relationships when they try to insert their ass-backwards bull into people's personal lives at every turn?
5. I assume that this is referring to non-PoC actors/actresses playing characters of color when actors/actresses of color are often starved for good work. We already have hiring practices that prioritize getting the right gender for a given role so I don't get why this is such a sensationalized issue considering that it seems like most if not all actors/actresses have no problem with this.

So basically every single bullet point is a strawman argument for the purposes of fearmongering that will only sound reasonable to people who, apparently, think that white people should "have control over other people." Which... well, you can't say that Fox doesn't know its audience, lol.

Reasoning doesn't have to come into play. It's entirely normal for hiring staff to feel they are making an objective decision based purely on qualifications, but still have unconscious bias at the same time.

If your point is that unconscious bias doesn't exist in the hiring process, well, then you're denying facts

If I were an employer I would preferably hire the best person for the job, regardless of their gender or skin colour.

At my place of work, we have a great diversity of people among us. Both locals and foreigners and both men and women.
And where I work you need knowledge, precision and strength.

Strength is obviously something men are naturally better at than women but they make up for it in other areas.
One older woman I work with, you can ask her pretty much anything and she will know the answer and she also has more responsibilities than the rest of us.

And we have quite a few people from other countries here.
It's kinda hard to communicate with some of them sometimes but they're all strong as fuck.
