Uhh, caffeine is absolutely physically addictive. It's formally considered a drug. As it happens, the sugar in soda is a more significant addictive factor than the caffeine, particularly where many sodas don't actually have caffeine, but let's not pretend caffeine addiction isn't a thing. It's just by far the most socially acceptable drug addiction and rarely results in significant health problems. --- This is my signature.
