My vote is for Tangela

Feel like most of the other Pokemon are part of evolutionary lines with at least one memorable poke in it (which will jog your memory on the others) or are notable singles

Krabby/Kingler or Horsea/Whatever Second Horsea is are also good picks though

Tangrowth isn't that forgettable, esp. in competitive
Lickilicky is though, so I vote Lickitung

Tangela, Seadra, Seel, and Krabby/Kingler are all good picks, I think. Leaning more towards Seadra and Krabby/Kingler, personally. Tangela at least has the design going for it which is the same reason I'm not putting Lickitung up here. (Seel kinda has the same argument but more on generic cuteness instead of a slightly memorable design)

Paras/Parasect are good candidates.

Venonat/Venomoth was probably bumped out of last place by TTP.
No way it's Golduck. Psyduck rose to fame in the anime and then you remember the line.
Doduo/Dodrio is a fine guess imo.
Could be Seel/Dewgong as well.
Are Shellder/Cloyster forgettable? I wouldn't have thought.
Krabby/Kingler are saved by the anime too I think.
I'm surprised people forget Lickitung. Its tongue makes it quite memorable and it got an evolution later.
I'm more surprised anyone named Rhyhorn/Rhydon here, like what, no way it's those.
Tangela is in the same boat as Lickitung. Unique design, you don't necessarily encounter it, but doesn't a leader have it? It gets an evolution later too.
Goldeen/Seaking, probably saved by Smash.

Overall, probably the Seel line, with Paras and Doduo being close

I don't really think Psyduck is all that prominent and the line just totally gets lost in the shuffle for me

As someone who learned how to properly spell Exeggutor (hold the c) after frustration with a Sprocle quiz I can vouch this is a thing.

I get that for Exeggcute/Exeggutor since it's just so awkward, but Lickitung is pretty easy, especially in comparison to those two, so if it's beating them out, it's definitely being forgotten.

I remember Seel/Dewgong because Pryce (or is it Price) had a Dewgong that spammed Rest and was harder than Whitney's miltank IMHO. (you get a free female Machop from a trade in the same town as Whitney's gym. )

Lickitung had a role in the anime for a while.

I always forget Tangela exists. Except I knew a girl named Tangela which was pronounced like Angela with a T in front of it.
