I should just start playing it up the next time a rally happens and act like I hate all rallies now to make you idiots mad instead to be honest.

What bothers me is the personal attacks/bullying. Now maybe I'm being a hypocrite because I called people IN GENERAL who liked the Detective Pikachu trailer cucks and SJWs in that topic. That message also got deleted by the mods. I have said some mean things on the Board, but it was never directed personally at someone on here.

But what went on at the end of, and directly following the Tifa/MMX match, to me, was internet harassment. It crossed the line.



There were several posts like that in the stats topic. Imagine if that "you" was you. Those posts plus the gif of a Black Turtle and the 2 Tifas was internet bullying, in my opinion. I'm not going to link the gif because it bothers me a lot. But you can find it in the ITT topic. BT responded back with his own insults, naturally. He bullied back.



Can you see where this could lead? You remember GrapeFruitKing's suicide(2013) 5 years ago don't you? How suicide/depression topics popped up after that?



How do you think GrapeFruitKing would feel now, 5 years after he's gone, to know that the Board hadn't learned anything, that they(we) were up to the same old tricks 5 years later?



Here's Xiii commenting on Mr.Lasa yesterday. Would you care, at all, if that "fuckwit" was suicidal/depressed? Did you learn anything from the sadness of GrapeFruit's death 5 years ago?

We try to put on this facade, that it's just a "silly little character battle", "doesn't matter that much" when that's actually not true. We CARE about these matches, we are passionate about the results. And for good reason, there's $1000 in a gift certificate on the line! Getting these matches right matters.

It would be easy to just forget that this ever happened and move on to the next match. That's what we do in general on here, we don't look back, we look forward. We sweep what happened in the past QUICKLY under the rug. But is that ok in this situation?

Regardless of whether or not you like BT/Extha/Lasa or their opinions, do any of them deserve to be treated like that? They(we) all deserve some level of respect, regardless of what they(we) write on here. Maybe the "regardless of what we write on here" is too much for you guys. I get that. I guess I was just trying to start a dialogue. I saw some really evil things said today/yesterday, both in stats and in Discord, and it disturbed me a lot. It made me very sad to be on here with you guys, and I didn't know what to do.

Or maybe this is truly the best part of the contest. I feel like many of you love this drama; it does entertain me at first, like watching a car crash aftermath, you have to look. But then I feel bad. I don't know BT or Extha or XIII or any of you guys personally. Maybe we should just keep bullying everything and everyone as usual. F OFF SND No fucks given. Maybe that's the way it should be, I am totally not sure. That's probably what will happen.

I know I've said some mean stuff in the past myself, to people here on the Board. I'm sorry about that. But I'll try to do better, I just can't help it sometimes.

The examples you posted aren't very polite, but it happens on the board all the time. They don't reach this "evil" level you described. "You're the worst of the match" or "You watch hentai with perverts" aren't evil.

Depression and suicide has very little to do with getting into confrontations like this online. Those people who killed themselves had way bigger problems than people saying vaguely confrontational things to them on board 8. (If anyone did) The last thing anyone who committed suicide would want is to be used as a morality stick to hit people with. "Oh, don't be mean to anyone because ____ killed themselves"

I'm not saying people on board 8 are particularly nice, it's definitely common to be a jerk here, but that's just the kind of community it is, and there are far worse out there. And none of your examples involved any vitriol or personal attacks. There's also a mental health support thread (hell, a physical health support thread too) at all times.

I was disappointed that in response to a benign remark that wasn't meant to convey anything beyond mutual dislike of a movie trailer, you thought it appropriate to follow up with 2 abhorrent, thoroughly unnecessary terms. In general, I had been warming up to your hyperactive posting style as of late and certainly don't want anyone to bully you. However, that is a likely outcome if you are willing to use hateful language for shock value and lack the restraint not to do (seemingly) out of character things that make people reluctant to harbor any goodwill toward you.
