they're fine with it, ok. I did not know that coming in. I really thought it was a culture of bullying, I haven't been back here since the 2015 contest(3 years), and it was NOT like that back then.

The way people talk to each other on this board is cruel, straight forward and honest (for better or for worse) I don't necessarily approve of it, but if you're going to stay on this board for any period of time longer than a contest you should know that that's just how you'll be treated. There's really no ill will from us, it's just how we communicate.

I do agree with this, actually, but that doesn't mean that everyone else will do it. nor do I think I am anywhere near one of the worst offenders so I doubt me stopping would have as much impact as compared to someone else who would be less willing to stop.

beyond that I think if he's really getting a lot of this from discord he maybe shouldn't be on there

I've actually said many times in the past that I would generally not be as mean to users who were very clear about the fact that my way of talking to them was upsetting them, and I've generally lived up to that claim. There's probably only one person I've taken a stance on that is a little bit different than that (it's more like, you know if you try to engage me I'm just going to treat you like the idiot you are, so please just don't talk to me and I won't talk to you or about you)

Issue being that most of the people who have a problem with me will repeatedly jump into any topic where I'm posting, quote something I said with some lame ass attempt at a one liner gotcha, and then get fucking blasted into oblivion leaving them even more butthurt as they scurry away and have to nurse their wounds. until they attempt the same dumb shit in the very next topic, and this somehow goes on for 8 years without them learning any better.

I definitely made a few mean posts directed towards you and I feel a bit bad about it now because I don't think you really had any negative intent. I don't generally think of board 8 as being a particularly aggressive place and I don't think it's necessarily a culture of cruel straightforwardness, what you're describing happen but it's not something I think of as quintessentially board 8. There's a lot of very kind and gentle people here

The problem with SND, I think, is that he genuinely wants to fit in but doesn't really know how and is frustrated, and he just brought up probably the most taboo topic you could to make a point so people are rightfully pissed at him, but I don't see board 8 as being a place where like, you should just live with the fact that people are going to be low-key abusive to you all the time. That's not the kind of place I want this community to be

SND should not call people cucks or anti-SJWs 'cause that's not how we do shit around here, and a failure to integrate is obviously going to cause friction, but again I don't think the default state of b8's community is "we just fucking talk shit at each other all day don't get your feelings hurt bro" and if you think that's how we all operate I would please implore you to try to be a gentler person
