In my run of FFT Agrias was possibly more ridiculous than Orlandu. She had a setup where she couldn't die, and a flail with a sword on her off-hand to use holy sword skills. Maybe Ramza too. He was one-shotting bosses with a punch, and he punched twice in a turn. But in terms of his class, yeah Orlandu is nuts.

I think Orlandu is a bit overrated in this category. Like most of why he comes off as so strong is his Excalibur, which you can give to anyone if you so choose. Give that to Agrias and she's pretty close to as strong as him.

I feel like Seth from Fire Emblem Sacred Stones has a good case. He starts with high stats but actually has good growths unlike most of the other characters like that in the series, so you can practically solo the game with Seth and you get him pretty early too.

If gameplay stuff counts theres no way it isnt somebody from something like Disgaea right? You can do like billions of damage in that game and even for non-gameplay I feel like Laharl was at least planet buster level even in the first game

Naoto in Persona Q. You don't need any specific armor or to do anything. She breaks the game way more than anyone listed. She ends every single random battle in one round and her binds and status effects coupled with high luck make bosses a noninssue. Infinitely more broken than anyone listed.

HGR pulling out the SaGa Frontier cred.

Blue actually probably is the answer. Time magic you can literally stop time for everyone but the caster and take like 8 turns in a row. That should be enough said really. Also you can combine it with stasis to get 8 turns forever. Though that's often more trouble than it's worth-- just nuke 8 times and be done with it.

Yes he does.

I thought there were 5, but I'm clearly wrong as none of the mages would make sense for one, and I can't think of Armarant having one.

Sleep Powder makes things unable to act pretty much indefinitely if you want and Razor Leaf is pound-for-pound the strongest move in the entire game and you get them both pretty early

Mewtwo still wrecks.

Also, Slash overall is better than Razor Leaf, but RL gets stab from Bulbasaur and Char
DOesnt get Stab, so at least between them it's true.

Mewtwo counts as a last minute party member, though.

His stats are slightly better than Agrias's yeah.

But the meat of the good in All Swordskill is in Holy Sword and the meat of why Orlandu is considered broken is his high attack power auto-haste sword that anyone can use.

Also Agrias can equip perfumes/hairpins.

Also worth noting that Overdrive (the time stop move) always goes first (except maybe if used on the same turn another move with initiative happens, not sure there). He doesn't even give the enemy a chance to kill him. There's a drawback in that he's supposed to lose MP after the time stop, but the stasis glitch stops that too, so yeah, kinda broken.

throwing in a vote for Disgaea 4's DESCO. She's strong, she has an AoE ability that perfectly targets the enemies in the "grinding" stage so you can powerlevel her easily, and she's a monster so you can equip her to other characters to make them easy to level on that stage

Yeah without StasisRune, OverDrive is almost kinda balanced; TimeLord never feels like an overpowered PC to me. But Blue is cheesy as hell. Heck, even if you never discover the OverDrive glitch, he game-best magic stats by far and almost every spell in the game plus some unique ones like a MT heal/revive in a game which almost lacks MT healing.

Others:

-Yuna
-Ryu (Breath of Fire 3)
-Citan (the sword is nice, but he's ridiculous even before it)
-Yuri Hyuga (in the first Shadow Hearts; second lets others catch up)
-Fire Emblem has several contenders but Seth (FE8) and Titania (FE9) are probably the best choices.

Claude in Star Ocean 2 is worth a mention, since you can get his op weapon halfway through disc 1. Then he solos the rest of the game.

If Setzer gets 777 on the slots, he uses Joker Doom and instant kills all enemies. Normally the game cheats and doesn't let you get 777 on the slots. If you try to, the reel will just skip forward a few slots. Whether the game lets you or not is random. However, the randomness in FF6 can be manipulated. If you use an Echo Screen at the start of the battle then try to use slots, the game will almost always let you get 777 and use Joker Doom. Some boss fights still completely block Joker Doom like the fight with the invincible version of Guardian.

I'm just saying if programmer intent is that you're only supposed to get a result 0.0001% of the time, and you can manipulate the RNG to get the result 100% of the time, then that's just as much a glitch (ie a feature in the game not working as intended) as vanish+doom is.

Well he's level 70 at the lowest, so he's not going to obey until you beat Sabrina, and that's assuming he doesn't level up ever before then. So realistically he's not going to obey until you beat Giovanni, where all you have left is the Pokemon League.

Obeying half the time you'll still relentlessly murder the game...

There is literally no one in the game that uses Pin Missle on you, even if there was it isn't Stab and wouldn't get close to beating Mewtwo. Mewtwo will decicrate everything in its path.

Mewtwo obeying half the time is probably weaker overall than just rolling the game with your Bulbasaur tbqh.

Defensively.. not even close.

There's also the fact that Mewtwo with Blizzard Psychic, Tbolt and amnesia OHKO's the ENTIRE elite 4 and Champion.
