Why does nobody want to try Sheratan the normal way? The spawns are both weak to fire, and fall really fast.

I went in with 2 fire pod chainers, Rikku, Tilith, and WoL. Swapped in Ace twice for MP battery purposes and a Fire Imperil, the other 4 didn't do anything.

My drive to play this game is fast approaching zero. Too many issues and too much trash content, especially when there are so many great 'real' games out right now I'd rather spend time with.

I haven't been playing for weeks now.

Is it really that difficult to just make events where you do a few tough bosses. Once. The grind paradigm this game has is the worst part of it. I mean I don't mind grinding to get loot once in a while but it shouldn't be "run this boss over and over" and that shouldn't be the event.

I think a mix of both is fine. I'm even fine with them slanting more towards grinding, but if you're going to do grinding events, they should be relatively mindless and not require full attention the way these last few have. That's a great recipe for burning out your player base.

Yeah that's pretty much the worst thing. I skipped the last raid after getting the lower tier rewards because of that. Didn't skip FF3 event because X-Death let me do that mindlessly but yeah.

That being said even the mindless grinds are done excessively. Game would be a lot better if like the daily vortex things were just not garbage and the events were just cool fights rather than more grinding. Like King Mog should just be a constant thing whose rewards and bonus units rotate every month or so, and you should just get King Mog tokens by doing the vortex. Then you free up those "event" (whoooooo extremeeee) spaces for things that are actually fun.

Instead of using all of my energy TMR grinding, I'm spending all of it in the Room of the Faeries. Sure, two of the cryst types are absolutely useless, but I need more Black crysts for Trance Terra. By my count, 138 alcryst, 101 milcyrst, 7 heavicryst, 30 giancryst, and 11 purecryst are needed for all of her enhancements. Still a long way to go.

Well the letter from the producer specifically addressed working to create more fun events, so I think the complaints about everything post-Nier seems to have gotten through at least on the surface. To be fair, they are somewhat constrained by what JP gives them to work with, wanting to keep things similar and make sure the GL-exclusive changes don't completely cheapen the events, so it's not all on Gumi.

I am closing in on 20k myself... and that's considering I spent almost all of it on Nier. With all the compensations, bonuses, the hack, and nothing worth spending Lapis on daily, it's amassed quite quickly.

Well, I stuck to my guns of not spending a single Lapis after the Nier Banner finished. My plan was to get over 8k before I started doing Daily Pulls, and no heavy pulling on a banner if I didn't have at least 50+ tickets. However, with as bad as the banners have been, I haven't even needed to do anything other than a standard summon every day to satisfy summoning quests, and I don't spend Lapis on anything else, so it's not really going anywhere.
