I'll probably do what I normally do. Just use friends and then say screw it to buying anything outside of Rare Tickets, Star Quartz, and non-exclusive important equipment. I don't have the money for Cactuars or Ability Awakenings anyways.

90% of my energy for the last 3 days has been going to Vortex of Experience, leveling FP units and selling them, just so I can keep up with Expedition costs. I haven't been over 400k gil in almost 2 weeks now.

Good thing they serve snapper soup now Friday to Monday.... :D

Yeah I wouldn't be so sure about that. I was able to OHKO Behemoth with A2x2+2B chain finished with Ace's LB, being buffed by Celestial Light and Armor Breaking him with WoL. But that was just barely. The same setup was only able to take out like 65% of Sol's HP. They both have pretty mean thresholds too.

I love the sound of this! I can actually bring a real team through a story event instead of a TMR group.

This is making me want to use an energy refresh to get them both in, but I'm trying to be really stingy with my lapis use right now.

I only do explorations if I'm done with everything else and got all the quests and what not ready to start clearing through them. They are my lowest priority for the 5/6 daily quest requirements. Explorations are rather tedious, I don't even like using them to level units if I can avoid it.

Summon a Unit x1
Daily Gifter x5
Colosseum x3
Do Event Stuff (when applicable)
Vortex Explorer x3
Craft an Item x1
Story Quest x3
Exploration x2


EDIT: If I'm desperate, and have to choose between Colosseum x3 or Exploration x2, and it's almost end of day, I'll do Siren x2 for my two explorations if I am out of Arena Orbs.

I have two 2B and an A2, and I still use Orlandeau, Fryevia, Ace, Tilith, Warrior of Light, Rikku, Marie, and Elza as my core content clearing team. Change is hard, I know how to chain with Orlandeau, so I don't want to poach him to gear out 2B or A2 lol.

Also, I'm kind of at a loss here- barring my love of the characters on the banner, I don't really think I need to pull on any of them: I've got physical, magic and hybrid via luneth, D.Fina and Freyvja respectively, chainers via double setzer/ashe, tanks via WoL/EV and utility via double rikku, Soleli and a tillith. Any banners I should try to shoot for then?

I assume mistair would be one cause mage tanking, but what else?

-Cloud banner for *4 William. (8 hit earth with chain with earth down resistance) Elfried and Cloud, both *5, are necessary for true doublehand.

That's pretty much the noteworthy stuff before FF9, providing we don't get that one earlier.

So now that I have 3 copies of Dual Wield and a Bowie Knife, what's the next most important things to spend Moogles on? I can't TMR Macro farm, I can only do Moogles, so as Free to Play, I've probably already wasted a good amount of Moogles chasing as many DW sources that I have.

I have one Snow, so I put him in my "TMR Team" along with Gafgarrion, Shine, Rikku, and (currently) Camille. Camille is at 32%, but thinking of replacing her with something else like maybe 9S since his TMR is at 80% and I hear it's rather important.


I don't have a lot of TMRs, especially accessories. Hell, I haven't even completed some of the older TMRs from launch 3* units, like Shantotto (she's at 35% lol), and even Shadow is at 65%. I don't get enough duplicates.

Cloud: TDH(IE, one-handed and two-handed weapons get the bonus), Equip ATK Bonus +100% when only using one hand.

Elfried: 40 ATK Accessory, Equip ATK Bonus +50% when only using one hand, Gain 2 LS per Turn. (BiS.)
