yeah it's just "they went underwater and resurfaced downstream out of harm's way". fine, it happens all the time in shows and movies. It just doesn't really mesh with the s7e4 final shot.

Oh, I definitely agree there. And that they swam farther than makes any real sense, considering they should assume they would be captured once they'd made it to shore. And you'd think Tyrion would be smart enough to go "Hey you guys go track them as they swim so we can capture the enemy commander."

There's a difference between hating your father and wanting him to be burned alive. Also, Sam was never implied to have a problem with Dickon.

Dickon seemed like a cool dude to Sam. I think having him as a sympathetic face to be burned was an effective tactic to make Dany's actions seem crueler.

Well the leak sucks for us who haven't seen it, because all the people who did see it won't be posting in this topic anymore, and it's the constant flow of opinions that fuels this topic between Tuesday and Saturday normally.

Youtube comments for me. I was watching a reaction to a Doctor Who episode and someone spoiled it right there in the comments. Nowhere is safe!

Not that I actually watched the leak; it had shitty audio quality that I couldn't be bothered with. I just zipped through the episode so I know the "guidelines" of what happens.

Something that really bothered me about the last episode (non leaked one).

From Tyrion's point of view he should've either seen Jaime

A) Get incinerated in dragonfire

or

B) Get saved by Bronn

In the instance of A, he shouldn't have been back at Dragonstone all like "Well, Jaime will listen to me" when they start with the asinine plan of bringing a wight back. And ESPECIALLY in the instance of A he should've had some sort of emotional reaction to seeing the brother he loved get nuked.

In the instance of B, he... well, he blatantly let Jaime get away after seeing Bronn save him. Which confirms that he's not completely on Dany's side. At the very least he should've sent the Dothraki out around the edges of that lake looking to take Bronn and Jaime prisoner.

Most likely the showrunners either didn't think of this, or they just didn't have the time to film a scene about it.

But it's been bothering the hell out of me.

i doubt it's the first. but yeah it was abjectly terrible.

i think you can partially blame diferent episodes having different writing staffs and directors for this one. each crew is focused on its own episode, making it as dramatic as possible. 7x04's crew was focused on having a cool ending for that episode; 7x05's crew didn't feel dealing with that added anything.

the result: utter bullshit.

Didn't they say Season 7 was delayed because they wanted to film in the winter to give a feeling like winter is already in Westeros?
We didn't see like winter hit Westeros at all, not in Dragonstone and not in King's Landing
