They've done this three times that I know of, and I've got one pack all three times. I picked RDU boys, so you should probably go somewhere else.

I was thinking about RDU but he is in one of the more difficult groups. I went with Kolento instead.

Shit, is he? I only recognize three of the player names, and even then I don't really know if they're any good as players or if they're just streamers who are famous. I don't really follow the competitive scene at all.

Sometimes I consider playing HS again, and then I think about how many cards I don't have.

I've been playing since open beta and I'm still missing about 100 cards from the core set alone. According to the collection manager, to complete my collection, I'd need 291,600 dust to craft 555 more cards. Add, pretty much, another 0 to that dust cost if you like golden cards.

Don't worry about not having all of the cards, just get enough to play a few decks you enjoy and fuck everything else. Odds are you'll ragequit or get tired of the game sooner rather than later, so fat lot of good a complete collection will do you at that point.

It's not so much a completionist thing, more just feeling relevant/competitive. Although, I always was the type to just play cards I like and have fun with it, even if it meant floating around rank 15-12. I would do dumb stuff like run a double panda reno deck just for lulz.

guys i did it

i made it to rank 10 with wildly off-meta just in time for rank reset

i used a weird flood/sunkeeper paladin to go from 18 to 11 since yesterday but then sank back to 12 when i faced way too many aggro decks so i switched to a weird kazakus control mage with elementals, taunts, and clear out the wazoo and got to 10

feels good to stay out of the meta and still succeed

http://imgur.com/a/IYKkT - pally
http://imgur.com/a/r9ZzY - mage part 1
http://imgur.com/a/BNp9P - mage part 2

i know it's not important to post decklists but idk maybe you guys want to try something new that isn't garbage

or make recommendations idk (i don't own ragnaros lightlord for pally though)

I don't pay a ton of attention to tournaments but I often see him as a player who makes it to the big ones, at least the ones that I noticed. usually players with a lot of consistency have a better chance of advancing in hearthstone.

Some cheaper competitive decks are Mid/Face Hunter and Secret Mage. Secret Mage is the better deck but is slightly more expensive (requires Glyph and some ONIK cards)

Really all you need is Patches and Aya and assuming your collection already has a good number of classic cards you have access to a ton of decks in the meta.

That's a pretty good card right now, for dodging removal and getting buffs. Paladin got a card called Spikeridged Steed and that card basically singlehandedly wins that matchup

Vicious Fledgling will have its drop-rate reduced by 50%.

First a Quest Rogue nerf, and now this? Come on, Blizzard, next thing you're going to tell me is FWA is being HoF'd and I don't think I could handle that right now.

q: what about vicious fledging in arena?

A: hearing about it. when innervate out it just lives and snowballs. will reduce the drop rate of VF in arena by 50%. lots of little changes coming to arena. will likely write a blog post on "the internet". Goal is to make the classes closer together. reduce best mage cards, increase better cards in warrior decks. used math to figure those out. other small changes they are working on. lots of micro changes, 2% here, 1% there. very hard to figure out the real balance numbers. good players won't choose bad classes so can skew the numbers.

Say whatever you want about my attitude, but I know what I'm talking about. Mage getting the hammer in arena is overdue.

The only nerf left for us to push for is Glyph or Discover. Get rid of recycling.

Just stole a game I had no business winning as a Priest. I'm at 3 health, facing down an Ashbringer with one swing left, a random Paladin secret, and two 1/1 murlocs. I'm at 9 mana, I have a 5/1, 5/1 and 3/3 on board, need to deal 15 damage and nothing left in my deck can do fast damage.

I topdeck Northshire, trade with the 3/3 to proc Redemption, play the Northshire and heal it, topdeck Un'Goro pack, play it and get four junk cards and a Shellshifter to block the Ashbringer and survive at 1.

Hearthstone knew it was bullshit too because I got turn three boatraced by Aggro Druid in the next game to make up for it.

You get one pack just for picking, one more if your chosen pick gets through groups to the Ro8, a third for making it to semifinals and a fourth for making it to the finals.

Edit: And then you'll get your one pack a month later.

Realized I hadn't played brawl yet and needed to get my quests done, so I picked warrior and used Argent Squire as my card so I could get 10 divine shield minions played. Went up against another warrior who was using public defender.

The game ended up going to fatigue, as my 1/1's pecked away each turn at his 0/7's. I executed two of his big minions, which proved to be the difference, as he never found anything else threatening other than a Tentacles for Arms, and eventually I decked him. Took me almost the whole game to get my 10 squires played, though, because they weren't dying.

What you mean is you'll be able to buy packs from any set, right?

That wasn't always a thing? Huh.

I've literally never bought a pack outside the very first time I got enough gold and realized it was possible (1) and then once when the grand tournament came out a few friends all bought 50 packs and did a group pack opening thing.

Other than that I just blindly pour all gold into arena.

I usually spend the first month or two of each expansion blowing all of my gold in arena, and then use the rest of it to save up for the next one. I've got 3,635 gold right now, and 3,000 dust, though half of that dust was leftover from the HoF refunds that I never found anything I really wanted to blow it on.

Doesn't really matter if they're good cards. I'm not going to waste dust crafting a card, or especially a full deck to go around it, unless I want to play with it. That's why the Priest quest was pretty much a day one craft for me. I didn't expect it to be great, especially in standard, but I like Priest and I like slow, long games where hero power pass with ten mana and eight cards in your hand isn't out of the question so it was the perfect card for me. Same reason why I'm not upset about crafting EleShaman even though it's not that good, or played at all by anyone at this point.

The two decks from this expansion I'd like to play that I don't already have built, Quest Warrior and Silence Priest, I'd actually need more than 3,000 dust to create so I won't commit to them. I remember building a Silence Priest deck how I wanted it and needing something like 4,400 dust still? Maybe I've climbed closer over the last month or two but I'm pretty sure I'm still short the dust.

If you have Visions/Lyra (which are gonna be in almost all Priest decks going forward) then you just need Shambler.

Primordial Drake is a must craft for Taunt Warrior but it's a fantastic card and has a case for being the best card of the set

I don't have Visions or Lyra or Shambler. Or Humongous Razorleaf or Ancient Watcher. Or even Purify. Probably something else I'm not thinking of either.

I have one Drake, I'm still debating if I want a second for Dragon Priest or not which is what I've been mostly playing lately. But for Quest Warrior, I'd need the quest, the second Drake, Stonehill Defenders, Shield Slams, Sleep With The Fishes, Alley Armorsmiths, a second Brawl, probaby Dirty Rats and maybe Direhorn Hatchlings? I honestly don't even know if I have two copies of Bloodhoof or Ravaging. I pretty much never play Warrior so I really don't know what I have off the top of my head.
