Mateo, Fowler, Kaprielian. all very risky prospects, with Mateo sucking for nearly 2 years and then looking good for like, a month or two lately, and the other two being injured. Kaprielian is probably the best one, with ace potential but constantly hurt. objectively a very good trade for the Yanks (i can't believe they got it done without Florial, Sheff, or Adams) but i will miss all those guys.

kinda surprised the Yankees didn't make any more trades. also surprised Darvish wasn't traded. have to imagine the Rangers got offered something better than a draft pick for him. Alonso too, who isn't even QO-worthy. maybe he agreed to stay with the As for cheap, even if not an official extension.

Cubs had a pretty boring deadline but got what they needed imo. Happy they didn't go for a high ticket rental starter like some analysts were saying would be a possibility. So long as the offense can pick things back up, we're primed for another World Series, though the Dodgers are a lot scarier this year.

Darren Daulton passing hurts man and I am not a person that says that often.
Being a philly kid he was basically my Baseball hero.
1993 Phillies were a huge part of my life.

I am glad he got to win a world series being part of the reason the 97 Florida Marlins were so stacked.

About 15 years ago he said he was abducted by aliens, I always thought that was strange. After finding out that he had brain tumors a few years ago that connected the dots. It's a shame. 55 is young.

Given how fucking volatile the Rangers offense has been (and how flat bad the pitching is), a split is the safe bet for sure.
