I call it "soda." I live in the Los Angeles area. Most people call it "soda," I've never heard "pop," almost nobody calls it a "soft drink" (except businesses), and I've only heard a couple of people call it "Coke" generically (without caring if it is or is not Coca-Cola).

I'm close enough to a coast line that we call it soda. (Philly suburbs)

I went to school at Penn State, which basically brings the east and west ends of the state together. It was briny there since all the Pittsburghers say pop.

I was born in the southeast where it was called "Coke" and I have lived in the Midwest where it was "pop" but it's always "soft drink" for me (currently in Texas).
