Like I've used all of these moves at some point and still been able to use another move, item, or something else immediately afterwards.

What does it actually do?

They get more powerful if you use them repeatedly, but you take more damage in the meantime. For any effect like that, you can press + in battle to see what it actually means. Same with when a pokemon is "pumped" and whatever other weird semi statuses there are. It also shows weather effects, since some of them are different from traditional games.

At 204 mons now.

I just finished up Bonsly's entry, and now the only mons I still need are evolutions that I can just evolve myself. Except maybe Umbreon, but I can chill in the place where it appears out of distortions while I evolve and finish research entries.

Honestly? I'm fine with everything, and plan to do everything, but Spiritomb is likely the one that'll take the longest.

These are all the alphas I got so far and mostly because I was ignoring them and I was at a decent level to get them in the ice map except for the shiny Luxray, I caught her during the first time going through the 2nd map and she's stayed on my team since.

Where was the Alpha Lucario?

Fucking christ I CANNOT get Tornadus into battle. It fuckin zigzags and throws tornadoes and gives you half a second to hit it with five stun items that all do nothing. I hit it with 2-3 things, it looks to have dropped its shield for a sec, I hit it with a pokemon pokeball, the ball just clinks off and back into my inventory, it roars me down and flees.

okay i finally got it into battle and there are two additional glalie helping out so that's trill lmfao i didnt want to waste time killing them because i figured the weather would change and despawn what i'm hunting.

turns out my mistake was hitting it directly with the poke ball. i was locked on when peppering it with stun items, so when i swapped to a pokemon, my aim was still on it, so the ball would just hit it again directly. which is weird because you can still definitely engage pokemon by hitting them directly with your pokemon ball, but still.

Top of icebound falls is where my alpha lucario says it was caught.

I was just climbing around with sneasler looking for random tall spots with rare stuff when I stumbled across it.

I don't know how they'd do it, but Emmet sure does have some solid motivation for being a villain in Legends Unova or whatever the next gen 5 based game happens to be.

God just up and stole his twin brother. He wasn't even the chosen one, as far as I can tell there wasn't even a reason given. Just some divine stranger danger that left Ingo completely stuck and bewildered in the past.

I think Arceus tried to choose him but fucked up the process and just spat him out with no memory. So Arceus was probably like "uhhhhh....... let me try this again >_>" and took Lucas/Dawn

So Arceus is the guy at the grocery store who leaves frozen items in the cereal aisle after he realizes he doesn't want them halfway through shopping. He's God. Just put him back bro.

Trainers only start randomly appearing in post game. Otherwise the only trainer battles are story.

The bandit sisters are around before post game, they just give stardust instead of nuggets.

Plus you can rematch people at the training grounds.

There isn't a lot. You probably fight maybe 2 battles per overworld section. In post-game you can randomly run into the Bandit Sisters and get nuggets off of them. Or you can talk to a certain trainer in the Training Grounds in post-game and rematch people, though I don't think you get anything out of it other than bragging rights.

On the Arceus boards, someone said to save the game, close it and reopen before you go into whichever area. A distortion appears in 10-30 minutes.

I have gotten a ton in the first zone just stocking up on metal and sky stones which get expensive.

Between doing a loop in the highlands for those and some kingsfoil + grabbing the alphas for grit items I generally get two, three distortions.

*edit oh, for Pokdex completion... right, nvm

In general catching and resource gathering seems to spawn them faster than just standing around

Anyone thinking crazy enough as I am to try and go for 100% pokedex completion?

I kinda want to in the back of my head but I feel like the DLC will come out before I'm even close to being done

It's not as daunting as you think. If you're enjoying the game, go for it.

Yeah I feel like going about it meticulously enough will make it easier than I imagine. Make a list and go line by line.

Really in my playstyle I feel like I've done an above average amount of pokedex farming during my objectives and goals and whatnot. Like whenever I see a Lickitung or two I stop and give them several hunks of food (and then wake up the sleeping one because I'm a moron).

So it shouldn't be that daunting, yeah. Especially once I actually pick a Pokemon and start cranking out dex entries.

The annoying ones are gonna be the "defeat X" Pokemon where they exist only as a very rare distortion spawn like Gengar.

You might be able to farm it from the Training Ground rematches if someone has it.

Actually one of the bandit ladies had a Gengar now that I think about it so maybe it's not so bad.

Im on the last legendary hunt after catching Giratina and Im not sure what makes them spawn

4x weaknesses have to be calculated differently in this game, right? The amount of things I've seen live a 4x weak hit is staggering.

If it's Manaphy, you need Mantyke, Overquil, and Buisel in your party. The take them to those 2 rock arches in the Coastland during the evening. When you pass under it, you'll get a message saying Manaphy appeared or something and then you can go to the cave on the north side of the peninsula and find her and 3 Phiones you can catch.

It's so stupid how abstract it is >_>

Thundrus only appears in rain or thunderstorms I think. Tornadus only appears in blizzards, and Landorus appears in sunny weather

But then how deep do you want to go from there? Every pokemon has indicators if you caught every gender and their alpha forms. Plus not to mention shinies too lol

Yeah this was insane, I have no idea how people figure this out. Unless it's leaked or published by nintendo/GF or something.

Yeah thunderstorms. The weather icon in the top left on the map has to show rain/cloud with the lightning bolt, not just rain. It appears a hair north of those two giant bent spike things above the sand beach camp (where the sandbars look like a hand)

If I 100% every pokedex entry then I'll probably shiny hunt some of my favorites, build a "competitive" team (because I bet they will add PVP in DLC) and call it a day.
