Speaking of, if you serve 10 years in jail for a crime you didn't commit, that goes in advance towards any future crime you might commit. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time should work in reverse if you want to truly be equitable about it. You should still financially compensate these victims as well.

Umm no on the giving em time off the next crime. Maybe treat it like a first offense.

They should be compensated for false imprisonment though. I say a living wage (for your area) for every year spent behind bars like I make 34k and support myself and one other adult on that. Live in a 3 bedroom two full bathroom house. So something around 30k a year I would say is suitable for this area

I don't wanna give incentive to go ahead and commit a crime though.
