The bigger problem: Gamefreak fucked up and accidentally made Psychics immune to Ghost-type moves in gen-1 instead of weak to them.

....and even if they didn't, the only ghost move that didn't deal a fixed amount of damage was lick IIRC. 30 base power.

I remember when the Nemesis system was supposed to be the hottest thing in games. They tried to trademark it.

By the time the sequel came out, it was dead in the water...because the creators tried to make a minor mechanic the hottest thing.

The fucked up thing is that it would be a really welcome mechanic in a lot of these unnecessary open world games, but nope, now for some reason it will never be seen again.

One of the best "accessible" manga's of all time. Not as great a story as Spirit Circle but perfect for an adaptation.

I remember getting Myst and Majesty at the same time as a kid. Myst was boring, Majesty was fun and had voice acting. Even when I was getting my shit pushed in I was having fun.

I tried it again recently to see if it was just me as a kid not having the attention span for it. Nah, it's boring. Try Hypnospace Outlaw if you want a modern fun point and click adventure. That game is great.

Absolutely tripping balls through a warp and adding whatever it is you actually blow up on your little mescaline trip to your kill total? Mega-fraud.

Not to mention when you kill a boss/certain enemies and just go "Yeah, that one was worth +10".

If the choices are fraud or debt, fraud good.

Honestly, my solution would be to have the government offer a 2 week class semi-truck driving crash course and keep the vaccine mandate.

When they inevitably lose their jobs, provide 2 weeks of training and allow them to refill the floundering supply chain sector, a job where they happen to be isolated for 10-14 hours out of the day on average. Meanwhile, those in compliance get to do literally every other available job, freeing up positions for those who have been following the guidelines/restrictions.

It blows my mind that people are smart enough to realize how stubborn these anti-vaxxers are and yet are in a game of chicken with them regarding the economy and the vaccine mandate.

They will NOT act in their best interest and now you've tied the economy to their stupidity in hopes it will fade away. Glhf.

Nobody needs to explain or rationalize something that they don't like or enjoy. Harassment is too far, always, but there was an episode of Recess back in the day about how no matter what you do, you will not get everyone to like you. Hell, some people might dislike you for an entirely irrational reason, it sucks, but all you can do is accept it and move on. Some of y'all should watch that.

Again, harassment bad, but it should be dealt with on a case by case basis and it is unwise to use it to broadly portray and target your entire audience as manchildren. I mean, you're welcome to do so, but attacking your audience will not lead to more viewership. Ever. Even if your perception of them is entirely correct and justified you're still basically pissing into the wind.

There was so much time and effort put into something that nowadays would be considered a superfluous addition to the game. But years after the fact, it's what a ton of people remember about the 2 Stadium games(Along with the great minigames.)

I miss it. Imaging a modern Pokemon stadium with a new hype announcer and a whole new slew of minigames would be so incredible. They could do so much if they really decided to go all out. Hell, you're Nintendo, you could be absolute scumfucks and have a monthly subscribtion based competitive league and people would still eat that shit up.

But it's just never going to happen.

IE the Republicans are shouting from the rooftops, "How we can trust the science when it keeps changing." Garbage argument at the time, Covid was a relatively new experience/virus, time is needed to compile data and as that occurs we take the appropriate measure as dictated by the science. Incremental improvement should be both the expectation and the reality. And it was.

But now with the CDC absolutely shitting the bed and shortening the isolation to 5 days in the face of evidence saying that's not a good long term idea, and providing no evidence supporting it you've provided them with validation to their paranoia. Somehow, they've(CDC) taken a completely inane argument and validated it in the most absurd manner possible. They've damaged public trust in quite literally the most important government body that's needs public trust at this time. When people are consistently and constantly experiencing anecdotal evidence to the contrary of the 5 day isolation time that makes it even worse.

It's honestly unfathomable to me at this point. It's like no matter how outlandish the Republicans try to be in their agenda and opposition the Democrats go out of their fucking way to validate them.

Man, what a perfect meme. 10/10.

1st half is super fun and compelling as you discover all the ammo types and mess around with the bounty system. Progression is linear, but it's a fun linear, with a lot of creative ways to manage objectives.

But everything after the "Big twist" kinda starts to suck. More empty terrain to traverse, stupid fucking boats(Seriously, worse than the Super Mario Sunshine boats), bad enemies, areas where you're basically a bullet sponge, etc.

It almost feels like a game made for game reviewers because if you don't get past the 6 hour mark it's a legitimately stellar game in most aspects.

It's also fucking weird that it was somehow sent the entire franchise into a decade long exodus.

Music is still mind-blowingly fantastic.

Voice acting is also great. Although the limit break lines are wack("I'm on fire now!!")

Hit the emotional notes super well. Especially by video game and weeb standards.

Did the Halo reach ending before Halo reach and executed it better. Way better at evoking emotional response, way better conveying the hopelessness of the situation.

The price of freedom is the best ending accompanying song in any game in the Final fantasy franchise.

But man, the gameplay is just so dull and repetitive. It's not even "Bad." It's just so disinteresting. Same with 90% of the sidequests. If those two things were fixed, it would be in contention for the best game from the FF7 "universe".

Also, it was on the PSP. It really needs to be released on a better platform than that.

I mean, you can do whatever you want, just do it with the expectation of reciprocation.

If you want to keep your past a secret that's fine, but don't expect or demand any sort of openness from your partner after doing so.
