You get one guess.

He didn't say the name that I was thinking but close enough!

What's weird about that clip is he is saying a bunch of generally reasonable stuff until he just swerves at the last second into a conclusion that brings down the whole thing

Most people who enjoy him probably won't notice though

I do think a general lack of any ability to judge and/or appropriately discard certain information is a common thread

"Critical thinking" is basically the term for it I suppose

I remember from as early as 2nd grade hearing teachers talk about "critical thinking", and for years it was nothing more than a nebulous term that was just synonymous with "being smart"

It wasn't until much later when I met people who clearly lacked critical thinking that I began to understand what it meant

This one was totally fair, just kinda funny how it happened

I had a post get modded for censor bypass. I went and looked at the post and it was utterly innocuous. I used a four letter word but had literally the entire word replaced with asterisks. Didn't even type the first letter: "****"

I challenged it like, what on earth how is that against the rules??

The mod was like "oh it wasn't the swear word that you clearly insinuated, it was this other totally mundane and non-offensive word that is on the ban list just because the mods don't like it" more or less

Will children who see remade Lion King now at a young age and love it, then later go back and watch the original, think "wow I now hate the remake it is worthless trash"

Or do you think they'll hold their own biases. "It's neat I just can't care about the characters as much because they aren't realistic" is a pretty easy line to imagine

Sure, you can make the same point about Mulan but they're so different it's gotta be a different conversation. I guess I just can't buy into the idea that you get automatic points for trying to be different.
