21-17 doesnt feel like a big deal to me but not a hill Id die on.

One last little complaint - I wish the eikon abilities didn't need to be mastered to be switched around. I didn't have enough AP to really play around in the first 2/3 of the game, and having to refund and re-allocate AP is annoying. I shouldn't have to do that or go to a chronolith to explore all the abilities of an Eikon.

I did all sidequests and hunts and explored the entire map. I got to level 49.

The game packed in lots of references and easter eggs and corny pieces of dialog, I guess I kinda appreciated it, though at times I rolled my eyes just the same.

I guess I'd say 8/10 game. Could have been something special! Big moments in this game felt BIG but the biggest moment did not. I enjoyed the characters, many of the late game sidequests, the hunts, the graphics, big story moments, and the battles were often fun.

DLC.... maybe. In the moment, I don't want to feel like I have to buy the ending to this game.

Just googling DLC, I guess there was a free update and some of those alternate outfits look great. Dang.

Finally beat the game.

It started off really strong and then fell into bad pacing - boring quests followed by really awesome combat sequences when fighting bosses. Followed by "better go talk to Otto" snorefests. So a series of hallways, some of which are truly spectacular and some of which are really dull.

The last third of the game gets away from that a little bit. The quests become meaningful, you can poke around the world looking for hunts. The eikons you get are fun.

So for me, the game was a slow build, but it was worth it... until the ending. It was "okay" but I really think they had an opportunity to knock it out of the park.

I don't care a ton about trophies... but tying the "collect all curiosities" trophy to the challenges, which already has its trophy, is bad.

Difficulty was fine. There were times I wish sub-bosses had less HP and did more damage, mostly in the first half of the game. After you get Bahamut the game does get easy, but it's also fun and the battles don't feel long anymore.

One other weird complaint is that you can't heal in towns. I feel like talking to the merchant should just be an auto-heal.

Monroe? Stuckey? Theyve had some decent second/third options but not really anyone that really stepped up as a top guy. Jury is out on the current guys.

Walk This Way - Great song made even greater, and really just such an awesome and fun video. Maybe the best video of all time. Made Run DMC, really established the album and the golden age of hip hop, and salvaged Aerosmith's career.

Rap and Hip Hop have come a long way but this was such an important album for the genre. I grew up listening to a lot of 80s rap (as well as a lot of 70s and 80s rock/metal) so this was a fun nostalgic album to nominate.

Parade is an awesome thing to attend but its also easy to skip and not miss anything.

The reflection of the green paint on the players is weird

Thinking back to 2004 into 2005...

There's the parade, the championship gear, the off-season is fairly blissful even when you lose key players, and you're looking forward to opening day, the ring ceremony, the banner going up, etc. Watching games next year, you want a playoff run. You would obviously love to win the WS again and again, but, as long as you have a decent attempt at defending the title, no shame in that.

Certainly a big difference between baseball and football - baseball makes you feel different on a daily basis for the whole playoff run. Coming out on top at the end of all that almost changes you as a fan. I don't think I am explaining it well.

Playoffs easily but at the same time we see too many people minimize the regular season.

The Cars are great, and this album is fairly easy to rank because it has 5-6 songs that were on the radio/MTV all the time. My top two tracks are pretty easy to rank, and then there's a pile of singles that are a little tricky to rank and I ended up sticking an album cut above them.

Sorry for my absences - since my last excuse, I found an MP3 CD from 20 years ago with my old playlists and have just buried myself in my old favorites. Stuff that you can't hear on Spotify (like XTC's Wasp Star albums, Neil Young, etc)

I like the pregame panel with A Rod, Papi and Jeter. Jeter needs to let loose a little bit imo. Good moment with Pham you could tell he really appreciated it.

My prediction is a Nuggets repeat. I don't know that anyone has an answer for Jokic, and the Nugs have a lot of guys that can score around him. As a team they just feel very settled, though they aren't as deep as last year.

Bucks win the east, I just think having to deal with like 2-3 grueling 7 game series is going to prove too much.

Suns and Celtics will be awesome when everyone is healthy and the offenses are cooking.

I can't say I know where GSW will end up - I think they match up well against, say, Milwaukee but poorly against the other contenders.
