I haven't done the gym in about 20 years now - I bought my own stuff and I love it.

I did the gym 1998-2003 or so. Portable MP3 players barely a thing... I didn't have one. CD players couldn't really handle the gym routine. Folks weren't putting new albums on tape. Basically everyone listened to whatever was on the speakers for the whole gym, unless you used a walkman.

So my least favorite time was "whenever the cardio class was going on" because it was always this annoying club/gym bunny music. I never cared for the folks that used the gym like a social gathering. My Gold's was originally hammerstrength equipment, free weights and a couple of treadmills. Then they expanded into the adjacent building to add cardio classes and I had to quit. The equipment hog was no longer using all his equipment at once - he had to also talk to girls for an extra half hour. Asking a dude if I could get a set in used to work, but now it was three dudes talking to a girl and not giving up machines.

I could complain for like 50 more paragraphs but I'd rather just say that having my own bench and weights has kept me going for years, saved a ton of money and if I ever stop for a few months, it's all good. I paid 500 for this stuff 20 years ago.

And yeah like I said I used to have no issue asking if I could grab a set when someone was doing circuits. Before the gym bunnies, even the biggest dude in there would be all "no problem man, need a spot?"

Why are you cutting and gaining repetitively?

For me, I like having a goal/challenge. I tend to...
3 months do nothing, overeat
3 months bulk up
1-2 months cut
3-6 months maintain

In theory I should just to the maintenance stuff every day forever. It just kinda gets boring and I feel like "I'm in pretty good shape" and stop doing it as often as I should, and then work travel or vacations come up, etc. When I was younger, it was just bulking/cutting/taking a month off. I just needed something to work towards.

Cutting and bulking are also somewhat different (some folks can kinda do both but...) and enjoyable to do.

That sucks, but student loan forgiveness is still the right thing to do.

10/10 DLC

Lots of little moments - Shulk with a knowing reaction when Nikol didn't understand the romance of that couple in a sidequest, or Rexrex with a chuckle when the kid mentions Nopon doublenames to him, etc.

Big moments too - the Colony 9 moment was much appreciated and I'll probably always be grateful of having a series that could have moments like that. Some of the story beats were a little hard for me to understand but then I go online and read what happened and I gain a large appreciation for it all.

The post-credits scene syncs up with the XB3 post-credits, and the world becomes whole the same time as Mio's flute plays.

The level design was great

Soundtrack - bangin', maybe nothing super new, but still, bangin'

I agree about the fogbeasts, but more so I wish we had ponspectors

I didnt do much with the other DLC either - I didnt care for either new characters designs and didnt recruit them.

It took me 31 hours to do most everything aside from the UMs. IMO its worth taking your time.

Beat it last night. Got a little teary eyed when Shulk and Rex gave their life force to free their kids from the cycle.

Well akshually, they didn't really give their life force, I think. They became part of Origin/trinity and used their powers to wipe off the lifespan tattoos, which is why A calls it "cheating".

I agree it is incredibly bleak to see your kids die in a cycle over and over. Rex and Shulk seem ageless from the time they would have arrived on Aionios. Linka says in a vague but meaningful way that some of the folks were "chosen" by Origin. It makes sense that if Origin was capable of allowing people to spawn Zed and the moebius, that it would also allow a counter measure (for any wrinkles that come up) to spawn. We could probably go into a big "free will of the people" discussion here but I think of Origin as the original trinity processor on steroids + 2 planets of people turned into core crystals, with Nopon mechanics putting it together >_>

Getting near the end. Some of the final bits of the community/affinity dialogs are really good imo. Linkas was important for an idiot like me.

If you bet on some games but not others , and you have to manage resources in order to win games, its clear that games will have their outcomes impacted by gambling. If he bet the same amount on the Reds every game to win, and that was the extent of his gambling, Id say they should let him in after he dies. But thats not true and not the worst of his gambling issues with MLB.

well yeah I'm not worried about this series. I don't really worry about Philly either - we're a bad matchup for them. Harden playing D in the second half? Embiid guarding 40+ 3PA? It'd be nice if Embiid was out because it would keep the series shorter and less physical, but I think his knee is mostly fine.

Milwaukee, I dunno. Healthy I don't see them losing.

Boston again Mazzulla just thinks 3PA rate is the single most important stat and centralizes his late game plans around it. Watch what it does to Tatum and Brown every time - think about how many good final 15 minutes those guys have had in the postseason the last year+. If you haven't noticed it yet, watch what he does to his offense when the other team starts increasing their 3PA rate.

I looked into my crystal ball and it says that we lose in 6 to Milwaukee and we spend a week wondering if they should have really pushed to trade Jalen Brown for Durant, only for Durant to get hurt in the finals and we hope Jalen Brown didn't pay attention (again,,,)

Grabbed the first game platinum in 9 hours, 1.5 of which were hunting Warmech. Also had a heck of a time finding a basic Piranha for whatever reason.

It was a nice breeze through memory lane. I swapped between the two BGM types a good deal. I haven't played it in a good while, though I remembered everything pretty clearly aside from the caravan location. I might skip 2 and 3, can't see myself playing those again when I have a backlog of other stuff.

Might not bother with plat for 4 and 6. I feel like I'd rather take it slow-ish instead of rushing around following a trophy guide.

I miss Udoka getting Boston to play defense. Mazzullas Antoine Walker offense is so depressing

its well established that I think the instigators should be punished, but I think Doc is neglecting that Green and Embiid are probably two of the biggest instigators in the league.

Most players who play dirty get penalized harsher because of reputation and because that's the only way to corral their behavior. Draymond gets it the other way. It's like he does so much bad stuff that they let him get away with too much because it's not as bad as some of the things he does.

It also feels like the league plays favorites. True or not, that's something Boston fans hate - you can probably chalk it up to persecution complex.

That all said, Sabonis writing around on the court like a Euro soccer player is probably worse for the league than what Draymond did. (please don't bring up Paul Pierce's wheelchair that was totally legit >_>)
