Is there any other way for this Sacramento season to end than for them to get beaten not by Curry or Klay but by Kevon Looney?

Curry put his foot on their neck when they were already drawing their last breaths, sure. But the Kings looked like they had thrown their final punch somewhere around the tenth offensive rebound in the third quarter.

Future is bright for Sacramento but Sabonis needs to retool his game for the playoffs, hes been made completely irrelevant by a role player like looney (albeit one of the best playoff role players)

Curry is unbelievable. super disappointed but hard to be mad losing to greatness

I would say that Steph won this single handedly but Looney was an absolute monster on the boards.
Hell of a season, but sometimes greatness rears its head and there's nothing you can do.

Defintely, also they already won. Winning a title is hard much less multiple. I'm not sure how much longer the bucks have with middleton and holiday though so it's a good thing they got it, it could've very well been seen as a failure if they hadn't.

they won by curry scoring 50 points. like this whole "trusting in curry" stuff is nice fodder for sports journalists but they won because he's really really good at basketball, not because of some inspirational speech. I bet he'd rather have won by him, klay, and poole each scoring 30 each night and closing it out in fewer than 7 games.

Well of course they trust him, but this basically meant trust him to just carry the game and run the show. No one else was stepping up game 7 aside from Looney grabbing an insane amount of rebounds. It's very likely it helped cut indecisiveness

well they also held the best NBA offense in history to 100 points. i didn't watch the game but that suggests a tremendous defensive effort - and defense does require buy-in

I respectfully disagree mostly because I think after not having a great game 6 Klay would try to hero Ball and he didn't. I do think Curry telling everyone to let him do his thing stopped Klay from trying to be a hero or Poole to shoot himself out of his slump.
