My guess is that he was a serial homewrecker, including someone connected to the higher ups, and they worked this out a while ago. Wouldnt surprise me if KD dropped his trade demand because this was coming. Udoka accepted his punishment without any real issue.

Celtics have some defensive problems but I think it's a good thing that they are focusing so much on offense. They're going to need these reps later on into the playoffs imo.

They basically just have to stay in shape, avoid bad injuries, and listen to Klay Thompson brag about the girls he bangs on his boat.

I was also somewhat confused with how the scoring works, as I thought Interpol votes would be added to both Queen and Whatever, tying them up, and then Queen winning because it was top, but so it's only the top vote of the least voted for album.

And I've also just now realized it wasn't 6-5 but 7-8 so Interpol votes didn't matter anyway. Oh well.

Black Sabbath - Paranoid
It's 8 tracks 40 minutes, classic doom metal, a few absolute awesome hits and some interesting album cuts. I figure this is a good pick for the holiday week.

Mostly Autumn - Glass Shadows
Mostly Autumn is a progressive rock band, with bits of folk music thrown in. They are one of my most beloved bands - I could go on. Like with some of my previous nominations, I'm just making sure I mention some of my favorites. Their best album isn't widely available. If I can find an easy way to have everyone listen to it, I will make a big case for it next year.

Crash Test Dummies - God Shuffled His Feet
I love CTD! This album is fun and catchy and would be a good second choice for the holiday week (in the US anyway). They're a bit quirky as Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm suggests, but they put together some good songs, and at times thoughtful lyrics. Their debut album "The Ghosts That Haunt Me" is a legit good album without a bit less silly lyrics, if those are a turn off.

Watching the Nets/Bucks game and the broadcast clearly picked up Kyrie yelling "shoot it Ben!" as Ben Simmons passed the ball outside

It's still October, but Simmons didn't really play a lot of defense in that game.

Was anyone else planning to participate? We have lower numbers than usual here, which is not entirely unexpected, but a few people also commented or tagged without actually voting so I figure it is worth asking.

I had family in town and only got one listen in. I could probably listen again later today but it was a busy week

Everything is cheap before the competitive market exists for it.

If you think this tech is going to be widespread and easy and everyone is just going to do it off of freeware licenses because we're in a pirate's utopia you're more naive than I am.

There's going to be some super overpriced proprietary way to do it well and that's going to be the standard that stomps the competition down.

I feel like if I made an AI product, I'd want to sell it as a) free product with distribution/licensing fees and/or b) expensive but worthwhile product with publishing ability, like maybe Photoshop or so.

Harden looks like hes in shape now for sure.

i read an interview that he records Mario sound files every day and has 5 million sound files so that he can still be Mario after hes dead and gone, something like that.

I feel like thats convincing that it wouldnt work.

If I were in charge, I'd have an alternate reality Mushroom Kingdom where Bowser is good and Mario is evil. and I'd have the regular Mushroom Kingdom.

Good Bowser would banish evil Mario using a warp pipe that switches places with good Mario.

Then we have a teamup of Evil Luigi, Good Mario and Good Bowser trying to fix everything.

In the end both realities are set straight, with both pairs of Mario Bros being the good guys and the Bowsers being the bad guys. In the regular Mushroom Kingdom, Bowser commits to peace but crosses his fingers.

Post credits Wario and Waluigi are teased.

I loved the first Slipknot album. I still think it's a good one, though I can't really listen to a full album of that sort of music anymore. Iowa was really fun but my time with the album was a bit short-lived - I discovered Blackwater Park that fall, and the new Dream Theater album came out that January. I got into prog, power metal, death metal, etc.

Vol. 3 came out and I was fairly resistant to it. I think I was done with Nu Metal. It's a fine album, I like some of the songs (and don't really dislike the other songs). Duality is a smart single.
