My Switch collection is not too far behind my PS4 collection, so I never understood the "no games" argument. The Switch has had an amazing first year.

I also never understood when people dismiss a game because it's also on Wii U. There's a reason a lot of Wii U games are coming to switch, no one had a Wii U. And no one is going to buy a dead system to play those games when the new system, which actually has a future, has those games plus more.

The main addicting part of the MH games is crafting armor sets from the monsters you kill and becoming more powerful to take on stronger monsters. If you find yourself getting one shot by something, that's a sign you need to go farm an armor set of your choice, and if that concept doesn't appeal to you, then I'm afraid to say the game isn't for you.

the hunter armor or w/e it's called, the one i made from hunting great jagrases. im using level 2 or 3 weapons, regular steel or iron or w/e.

so far there is no intuitive way to know what's good against what or how to prep, which is annoying

Make sure your armor is upgraded too. Getting a new set wouldn't be a bad idea either (and upgrade that). At that point I had a full Barroth set, which is high defense and also very weak to fire, but I was never one shot by Anjanath. If a monster one shots you, that means you need new/upgraded armor.

After you track a monster a few times, you'll get information about it in your hunters notes. You'll see the weaknesses/resistances, weak points, breakable vs severable, tips about their mechanics, basically all the information you'd need to prep.

You can also change your weapons/armor and grab items out of the chest in camp at any point, so prep isn't even that important. It's not like previous MH games where once your in the field, your stuck with your current inventory until you beat it or quit.

When you belive what you want to believe, and evidence that supports you is infallible, and evidence against you is wrong, even when there is an overwhelming amount of evidence against you.

Example, anti vaxxers. They find the most obscure sources from unqualified people (chiropractors are a favorite) and dismiss any source from scientists or the government because they are "paid off".

Basically there are 100 sources against your point and 1 source for it, so accept the 1 source and ignore the 100.

That's the greatsword, charge blade is the sword and shield that combine into an axe.

And as a switch axe user, and heavy weapons user in general in MH games, sheath constantly, you should never be walking around with your weapon out. After an attack, dodge, sheath, run, always. Find a new position or opening and do a draw attack, dodge, sheath, run, repeat. It considerably increases your mobility.

I know where your trying to go with this. Being obese is only dangerous to the individual, it has nothing to do with me, just like vaccines.

Except that not getting vaccines puts everyone else at risk. It's not just the individual that can die, other people can die because a kid wasn't vaccinated. Until other people can die from coming in contact with an obese person, it's not a good comparison.

This is the 3rd time in this topic that someone tried to use the "force obese people to exercise" argument. So again, that doesn't work because being obese doesn't affect people around you. A person without a vaccine can literally kill other people they come into contact with.

Used that sword/axe crap but it was terrible

The switch axe has been my main weapon through the whole game, it's awesome. I'm currently at the final monsters.

I don't have any experience with the long sword, but it is the most used weapon by a lot. If you think it's too slow, try sword and shield, dual blades, bow, or glaive (although it's a bit more complicated). I've also heard hammer is pretty fast when used right.

But ALL weapons are viable, so don't stress too much about it.

Not just hammer, but hunting horn and any bowgun that isn't using slicing ammo. Seriously, though, you are pretty much right. However, to be fair, the head is almost always a weakpoint, where as the tail is more hit and miss. If you don't know anything about the monster you are fighting, you can't go wrong by popping it in the head.

Also correct.

Moral of the story, read your hunter notes before heading out. For first time monsters where you don't have notes yet, in general if it looks squishy, it probably is. You'll find out very soon if it's not.

But seriously though, don't worry about your armor too much in low rank (5 or less star quests), because once you go to high rank, even the basic armor will be better than what ever you got. Still keep your armor up to date though, but don't try and grind out all the set. I only had 2 sets through low rank, one in the beginning and one near the end.

Keep your weapon upgraded though, they follow trees, so you still need to grind out low rank materials before going to high rank materials. Grinding is much easier for weapons though because it's 1 item as opposed to 5.

Well how long should I be taking? I just fought a Tzitzi-Ka-Lyu or w/e the fuck it is. I was hitting it over and over on the head and it was taking yellow damage. Took over 20 minutes.

Your weapon probably does suck. I just fought Tzitzi in high rank for the first time and it couldn't have taken more than 10 minutes total.

And Tzitzi sucks, he should be dying very fast.

Kirin was my first and only 3 cart so far. I went back after getting some high rank gear and still carted twice (one of them I call BS because he wasn't even in the same room as me and I was climbing a vine, then I suddenly died).

They're definitely too expensive per slice, but it's actually reasonable to get a full pizza. At the one in my mall, it's like 13 dollars for the whole pizza, with whatever toppings you want, compared to like 4 dollars a slice or whatever.

Yup, exactly that at the pizza place I worked at. A whole pizza (17 inch I think it was) is 6 slices, if you buy 3 slices separately, an extra dollar will get you the other half of the pizza.

Normally if someone buys 4-6+ slices, we would suggest that they should buy a whole pizza because it would be cheaper. If your nice to us we'll even bring that up at 3 slices. But if your rude to us, we won't bother, enjoy paying $20 for 5 slices of pizza while $13 gets you 6 slices. The prices of a whole pizza vs slices is literally above my head on the menu (no one ever looks at the menu), so I don't feel bad.

Just remember that complaining about prices to the workers gets you nothing, we know it's expensive, and we know some tricks to help you save money, but now I don't want to tell you.

Generally it's fine, but it depends on who's making it. I worked at a pizza place in a mall that replaced Sbarros, and our pizza was completely different depending on who made it. I thought my pizza was great, I'd even buy it if I didn't work there and got it for free, but some of my coworkers were just bad or lazy. I would come into work some days and throw away all the pizza on the line, it was that bad.

Does the gameplay loop of look at armor/weapon materials, fight required monster 2-5+ times to get materials, make badass armor/weapons sound fun to you?

Character progression is 100% based on gear, so you can't avoid the grind. But you'll see noticeable improvements after getting the gear. So much that you will go back to old monsters to farm and see how little damage they do and how fast you killed them when they gave you problems your first time fighting them.

Reporting back. They have some kind of aftertaste that I can't describe besides being some kind of Mexican spice, which is appropriate. So they are very different from normal fast food fries.

That's my biggest complaint about the case. I was excited when it was revealed that they found out Kiyo killed Tenko, but it didn't matter because the only person punished would be Angie's murderer. I wanted it to be someone else so that we can have a situation where a known blackened is alive and in our group for the rest of the game (or until someone kills him).

Fun fact, the 4 fire breathers in the movie are friends of mine. One of them was even in my fire performance troupe for a bit, and we have done a few shows with the other 3.

Only twice so far, but I have no problems doing it. The second time was just a few weeks ago, I was near a friends house, about an hour from home, but he was still at work, so I stopped by a restaurant to have dinner while I waited.

This topic is already great, it shows how Danganronpa has progressed as a series.

The first case of the Danganronpa games have always been easy to figure out before the trial. D1 with the most obvious hint ever, 11037, and D2 with the floorboards, skewers, and wounds being small holes. But with D3, your pre-trial theorys in post 41 were exactly what the game wanted you to believe, and they were all brought up in the trial, but they were all wrong. I've found that most of the trials in D3 are harder to figure out based on the evidence at a glance, which is why I think D3 has the best trials overall.

This. Case 5 is easily the best case. I even just recently watched someone play through it on YouTube just so I can see their reactions.

I also thought case 2 was one of the worst cases in the series. I just didn't like everything involving the arcade machine, but everything outside of that was fine.

Just another "Nintendo rehashes" argument even though every other game company is guilty of "rehashes".

yeah but nintendo does it ten-fold. The fact that mario is the same basic thing since the first and lemme guess...link has to find zelda and beat gannon in the new zelda right?

If you only care about the story, sure Mario and Zelda are similar to their previous games. But try and argue that Breath of the Wild is a rehash of Ocarina of Time.

Also note that Mario and Zelda have been around for 30 years, but they don't have many games in the main series. So bringing up the value "30 years" means nothing because a majority of those years there was not a Mario or Zelda game. There are 13 console Mario games, 6 of them being 3D, and there was around 3-6 years between each one. There was a 6 year gap between 64 and Sunshine, and a 4 year gap between 3D World and Odyssey. And gameplay wise, 2D and 3D Mario games are completely different, so that's why I'm not lumping them all together.

Zelda is even worse with releasing, with 9 console games, 6 being 3D, and 3 of them were released in the past 11 years. Three games in 11 years, if that's "ten-fold" I can't imagine what it's for Assassins Creed, CoD, Uncharted, all sports games, and a ton of other yearly/semi-yearly games.

I took an intro to criminal justice class for an elective recently, and someone brought up the case as an example of stupid lawsuits, and I was waiting for the teacher to correct them, and she didn't, she agreed with them. Somehow she didn't know either.

I never willingly participate in classes, but that's one of the handful of times where I spoke up to correct them.

Yup, I almost have my second bachelor's now because I didn't get an internship during my first (computer engineering).

During interviews, all they wanted was experiance, which I had none. After a few months they wanted to know why I didn't have a job a few months out of college. Then after a few more months your unhirable. So I had to get a second bachelor's (mechanical engineering).

I got an internship easily and a job with the same company.
