Next year will be my 20th year here on GFAQs/CE, and to be honest I probably stopped enjoying coming here around 2014/15. Ive been coming back simply out of habit not because I enjoy it anymore.

Ive never posted that much, but many of the users that have remained since the boards started dying in the early 2010s are the terminally online unhinged types and tbh its made the place pretty toxic. CE used to be fun, but its been a pretty miserable/negative place for a while now.

I think its time for it to die.

Modern Yugioh is incredibly complicated now, and boring imo. I watched a video from last years world championship and the first guys turn took 8 minutes before the second player could interact

I accept the reality that all dog breeds are capable of and do bite/attack people and its not just pitbulls

However, I quite literally have never seen another breed exhibit the level of blood lust that pitbulls do. They were designed to kill, plain and simple. Not a suitable breed to be around people or other animals and should be enforced as such

Rarely, but there have been weekends where I dont have anything going on and just want to get out of the house.

It is not equivalent.

A bar in the context of an open chain exercise makes it a bilateral movement, a dumbbell makes it a unilateral movement. If the weight is not connected each limb is lifting the weight through space without assistance from the other limb. Meaning each limb is lifting 30lbs. hence he is lifting 30lbs.

The weight is whatever weight the dumbbell is, doesnt matter if youre lifting two 30lb dumbbells at the same time or lifting one 30lb dumbbell at a time. Its 30lbs

Im curious to see the level of detail regarding destructive environments. I feel like the current generation of consoles should be able to handle crazy amounts of detail in that regard, but well see if they half ass it or not

Waterloo sparkling water is the best tasting soda substitute Ive ever tried. Better than Polar, Spindrift, Lacroix, Topochico, etc.

I couldnt even imagine how much of a distraction smartphones combined with apps/social media are to kids in modern day schools, especially if they have free reign on them throughout the day

Exercise physiology isnt exactly a large or super well supported/funded research field, we have a decent handle on the basics and common best practices but a lot of the specifics are still considered theory so theres quite a debate amongst some people when it comes to optimization. Though arguably optimal exists on a spectrum and is different for everyone.

A large portion of everything we know today about exercise science came from places like Russia in the early/mid 1900s, weve learned a lot since then but havent gotten too much further really.

GFAQs hasnt really grown/evolved that much imo. All things considered, at least to me, its still the same website it was 20 years ago.

Better websites came about and there was nothing that GFAQs was doing well at comparatively that people felt compelled to keep coming back in a regular basis.

Forums in general also died.

First week was all admin shit. Paperwork, getting all your gear and uniforms, moving into the squad bay, initial fitness test, adjusting to everything in general, etc.
