There's a spot by my house on my commute home every day from work. It is 4 lane intersecting another 4 lane. I have to make the right turn at the intersection. There's a sign that clearly reads NO TURN ON RED. I don't know it's there, but it's there. So I don't turn. It flips people the f out behind me sometimes because the light is on a fairly long cycle.

I don't know why I remember this one so well.

Yep. Been hit in the eye with a grounder baseball that popped up at the right moment.

Also got sucker punched in a club parking lot when I tried to de escalate an argument between my friend and a bunch of frat guys who ran off afterward.

As a teenager, I got hit by someone swinging a golf iron. I thought I was standing far enough away but the follow through got me almost directly in the eye.

I was lucky to not lose my eye. I had to get a bunch of stitches. I nearly passed out but somehow didn't from the blow.

I think the hobbit life is ideal. Reasonable amounts of labor, food, friends, and growing things all around you. Sign me up for that.

Twice.

Due to a chain of reasons, unrelated to controlled or illicit substances, I passed out twice in the bathroom, winter 2003. I was home from college freshmen year for Christmas. I had just taken a long bath at my parents house. Opened the linen closet and proceeded to pass out into it. I busted my head open in the process.

I came to in a slump on the floor bleeding. Managed to pull on some shorts after standing up. I passed out again while opening the door into the hall. Came to with my mom sitting on the floor with me and my dad panicking over top of me.

Not fun! I had a scar above my left eye for years from this incident.

It's not the middle of the night. Nobody goes to Denny's prior to 10pm.

I would say pretty unusual, but I won't assign a value judgment to it. That's for you to do.

Can somebody explain to me where there are Fandom wiki out there with some fairly blue content, given a game or franchises subject material, and such sites seem to get along fine. Do the same rules apply to content on such wiki as here or are there different rule threshold? Is the threshold discussions regarding controversial or blue content vs it merely existing on the site as a function of the content itself?

Does that make sense? I figure this is explained somewhere but I haven't seen it.

I met my past two serious girlfriends through online apps.

I am in my thirties. One girl in late 20s and the other late 30s. These girls had never married. One was a professor the other was finishing a masters in nursing. It definitely works but it takes a while to meet someone worthwhile.

I hate the game. I will never play it again. Trapped. Completely trapped dozens of hours in with only one save slot. No way to win. No idea he was coming.

I'm told Final Fantasy Tactics is great. It will be ever one or near number one on my hated games list because of him.

I would not choose to play Drakkhen. Definitely not fun on a SNES. As a kid that got a SNES for Christmas in 91 though, I thought the graphics looked amazing.

Paladin's Quest is fun. Weird setting. Almost feels like the sort of RPG maker games people do now. Really strange color pallet too.

Drakkhen has good music. the whole soundtrack. Play Dragon View instead for gameplay.

It's not a remake? I almost bought it back in the day just seeing on the shelf, but I figured it was a remake.

you have one game. games are expensive. birthday is once a year. you get like 2 or 3 games a year max. your options are play video games, watch tv, or go outside. no internet or phone to distract you like no. you have a lot of time to just play the same game over and over again. you git gud.

Not the worst console I've ever owned, but the most disappointing.

I loved the 360. It might be my all time favorite console. The One was a disappointment in all ways for me. It just wasn't as good as the Playstation, it had fewer games, and a bunch of gimmicks. I didn't like most of the choices they made with the UI. My kinnect stopped working in like 2 years -- I did like the "record that" feature but even then, MS messed up the whole activity feed. It was great before they started shoving content creators in it. I just want to see my friend's stuff.

I withold my earnings but the past few years I've owed the state.

I don't care about withholding part. I don't like fussing with taxes. I just import my w2 and a half hour later I am done.

Time can be measured in money and money in time. The time and hassle it saves me is worth compared to whatever extra I might eek out not withholding.

No, getting older is natural. I am just going to accept it. My beard is almost all white, I have lost hair, my teeth are not pearlescent anymore, and I have lines on my face.

That's life. It's fine. Fighting against it seems like folly. Enjoy your time alive and what pleasures you can find. Embrace aging and the freedom that comes with accepting it.

I struggle sometimes with it but the moments of clarity where I fully embrace it are completely liberating.
