Definitely Minecraft.

My sister is around the same age I was when I first experienced FFVII, and she's all about Minecraft. I volunteered at a summer camp a few years ago with kids aged 7-10, and all gaming talk centered around Minecraft.

I don't think something like Undertale could ever fit this because the younger, casual gaming generation has never heard of it. FFVII and OOT were amazing experiences, but they also made a widespread cultural impact (more so with Zelda) and anyone who played video games at all during the late 90s was aware of them.

The reach of a game plays a big part in answering this question.

As someone who watches a whole lot of Twitch IRL streams, and who looks through the LivestreamFails subreddit daily, I feel like I have a little bit of insight on all of this.

Essentially, Ice and his friends purposely put themselves in situations where something like the events in the video shown are likely to happen, then blame the worst parts of their community when it does happen. They use Text To Speech in an attempt to bait donations that make for awkward situations in the name of "content".

Twitch has a policy that states a streamer is not allowed to feature someone banned from their platform while streaming, even if, for example, they weren't planning on it and someone like Ice just happens to show up in the background of a stream.

Normally, that's a situation that wouldn't happen, but all of the top streamers are currently at Dreamhack Austin, along with Ice, and Twitch has warned all of them about not streaming "just in case" Ice shows up in their streams. So now no one is streaming and Ice is getting 30k+ views because everyone is going to his stream to see their favourite Twitch streamer. So in attempt to suppress him, they've only promoted him and made his stream more of a spectacle and a bad time, such as the situation in the video, waiting to happen.

He?s unfathomly popular on reddit, probably predominantly so with racists, and has 100k subs there. This was funny to them, so he?s going to keep doing moronic stuff like this until someone punches him in the face.

Ice is clearly racist, but he wasn't specifically banned for being racist.

New Data Reaper is out. Control Mage listed at the low end of tier 1/2 depending on how you look at it.

What's more surprising is Taunt Warrior apparently having the highest winrate in the game. I can't recall even seeing one since the nerfs.

Either I've been incredibly lucky over a decent sample size, or Control Mage is the best deck in the meta right now and nobody knows it.

Over the last few days, I've gone from rank 7 with 4 stars to rank 3 with 1 star, and I've only lost 3 games in the process. I don't have the exact amount of wins, because I played the majority of my games on a tablet, but I'm 7-0 when using deck tracker on PC. There has to be at least another 10 wins in there.

The 3 losses were to an Odd Paladin, a Control Mage, and a Burn Mage.

The one thing I will say is during that time I've yet to see a Warlock, so I'm not sure how that matchup plays out, but other than that, I can't think of any other deck that this loses to.

Token Druid is winnable every time as long as you strategically play board clears, and Taunt Druid instantly concedes when you Polymorph anything, especially the Hadronox. All the Aggro match ups are favourable as well.

The only thing stopping me from cruising to legend right now is time. The games take forever and I've only got just over 2 days left.

I will say that I haven't seen a single person play around Counterspell when I've played Arcane Keysmith, even when I specifically pick it to counter a big spell the following turn.

I've hit multiple turn 5 Call to Arms and Emerald Spellstones with it. It's like people don't think it's a possibility.

I can understand playing around the secrets when possible. Not attacking into an Explosive Trap and instead waiting to trade your minions into something, for instance.

But sometimes I see 3+ turns of not attacking in and at that point it's like, damn, just get it over with. You've already lost more value by waiting all that time than you would have just attacking in the first place.

Control Mage is my new favourite deck. I'm kicking myself for not crafting the necessary cards for it much earlier.

Just reached rank 5, final boss was a Kingsbane Rogue (Fuck Kingsbane Rogue). The sequence of events that led to my win was pretty crazy.

I somehow managed to survive a dozen 4/4 spiders over the course of 4 turns, and just when I thought I had him out valued and exhausted all of his resources, I get hit with an Azalina out of nowhere, which takes about 7 cards, including a Polymorph, Meteor, Baron Geddon, and Deathwing that I got off of Sindragosa.

The game continues on, and again I slowly exhaust his resources while attempting to get a face hit in every turn to not allow him to swing with Kingsbane. It gets to the point where he's in fatigue but doing Kingsbane things to not take damage and he's got 4 cards left in hand, with the Deathwing being the only threat of note.

I draw Arcane Keysmith, and play it just because I don't really have anything else to do, and it takes a second before I notice the Mirror Entity. I pick it, he plays Deathwing, and instantly concedes.

That's Hearthstone.

Also fuck Kingsbane.

32. Beat a game with a non-white lead

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Great game. I'm not sure if I enjoy the first one or this better. I feel like this is the better game of the two, but playing the first one kind of blew my mind as I didn't think a South Park game could be as good as it was.

This one was a little bit of an easier platinum, as well. I'll be revisiting the first game at some point because the code that came with this one still worked despite it saying it expired in January.
