Before the Kelce for Montgomery/Harris trade happened we vetoed a Kelce for Goedert/Harris/Crowder/Kittle trade. It's a keeper league so even with Kittle done, the guy could have kept Kittle...which didn't make sense since he had Kelce. But 4 for 1 trades are bogus so we shot it down but it was a close vote. They then came back with the revised trade that went through...much to my dismay.

Yeah I agree, he's the one that offered me the trade and I instantly accepted it. There have absolutely been worse trades that haven't been vetoed in that league this year. I've been in this league for a long time though and I know it's less of a personal thing against me and more of a, "well this is the best team in the league right now and this trade makes it better, which will negatively impact the rest of us".

I'm 5-3, but have scored 100 more points than the next team and 2 of my losses were by literally .12 points both times.

Yeah you only veto stuff if its obviously a behind the scenes deal. If the other person is like 0-8 and trading because "fuck it my seasons done", sure. Anything else that gets vetoed means you have a bad commish

Yeah, it's why in one of my other leagues where I'm commish, I handle all vetoes, and have never had to veto something. I want to avoid situations like the one that screwed me.

Our Kelce owner just traded Kelce to my opponent (for Montgomery and Damien Harris) and I am sad as it's a battle for 1st place.

Cook and Kelce for Kamara and Ridley. 14 team league where we start 3WR, 2RB, 1 TE, 1 Flex, so WRs have good value. I have 4 good to great RBs due to good drafting, whereas most struggle to find 2 to start, and I hit on late guys like Jefferson. I have nothing at TE, but could have then easily flipped my extra RB to fill the hole at WR, and truly had zero weaknesses.

Now I'm essentially going to have to take a big loss trading one of my RBs for a TE with a pulse just to have someone to put there. It's also a big bench league so the waiver wire is essentially non-existent. It's actually my favourite league because it rewards good drafting, which is my favourite part of fantasy.

I had a trade vetoed this week that would have seen me get Cook and Kelce, and I am now a sad, sad man.

It was completely fair too, the stated reason was essentially, "wow this makes your team not have any weaknesses, we don't want to hand you the championship", which is bullshit but what can you do.

Any developer who is unwilling to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for multiple months to ensure that I can play my life-changing video game when I want to is simply worthless to me. It's clear that these developers value stupid things like, 'family' and 'wellbeing' over making sure that my video game is ready for me when I want it, which is simply unacceptable.

This game is probably going to run terrible on current gen consoles and I don't think any amount of patches are going to truly fix it.

I'll buy it as soon as I buy a PS5, which'll probably be late next year.

That's the difference though. They beat bad teams and lost to playoff teams last year (and the Dolphins but divisional games are weird)

To add to this, I'm not really sure what Pats fans want? Would you be happy going 8-8 with Brady, missing the playoffs, having a mid round draft pick, and then needing to make a decision on the team and the QB?

Give me the terribleness of this year and potentially a top 10 pick when we know we need to address a need at QB and don't have to worry about the old guy at QB being upset about it.

To be fair, this team might be winless under a different coach. There's only so much a coach can do when you have so little talent and so many issues across all sides of the ball. The secondary should theoretically be still good this year and they aren't really, but it doesn't matter anyway when Jimmy G can throw 0 TDs and 2 picks and you still lose by 30.

Brady is still a good player and no one (mostly) is doubting he's the goat, but we saw what the Pats offense was last year for 9 games to end the season with Brady in it, and it was only marginally better than what it is now, if even that. They couldn't score at all. That's not a knock on Brady, it's a knock on how awful the team was on that side of the ball.

Now this year, they're at least as bad without even looking at QB, but also much worse on D. Half the starters leaving in FA and the other half opting out did them no favours. Brady didn't suddenly get better this year, he finally has the weapons around him to allow him to succeed. He's played fantastic in a few games, and he's played pretty average in others but everyone around him is so good that it doesn't matter. I don't think he's willing this Bucs teams to win. Even in the great games they've been blowouts, he isn't doing any carrying here.

I've got fellow Pats fans, who seemingly are now more Bucs fans than Pats fans, telling me Brady is missed this year and I question if they watched any of the second half of last year. Make no mistake, this Pats team would be equally as bad with Brady at QB this year. Maybe they win the Denver game, but that isn't saying much.

So in one league I've now lost 2 games this year to go to 5-2, which isn't a story.

Except that in both my losses I've lost by exactly 0.12 points, which seems slightly unlucky.
