Yea, people claiming he was a ringleader are looking for a scapegoat. Pretty sure as of Tuesday he didn't even cash out and the stock was already dropping.
If he had engineered a pump and dump as they claim, he would have got out around $300.

Certain hedges lost billions and several billionaires went on the news literally crying tears. The news also spread misinformation like that Wall Street Bets was buying silver when there was no posts about silver in the sub.

What was up with those billionaires whining? One dude said the rich were being targetted. They were in true meltdown mode.

I read someone saying Wall Steet Bets scammed people and pumped it up. Let's assume that is true.
Then, wtf was up with those billionaires? Paid by Wall Street Bets mods?

This is kinda a weird moment where many people forgot all about the events of last week and just assume this is some ponzi scheme or always a bubble ready to pop.
Sure, it was a bubble, but let us not forget it wasn't just a bubble.

They could just...

Buy alot of copies of niche games and hold them sealed and sell them later when they are harder to find.

Or do something cool like instead of partnering with companies to make shitty dlc, partner with then and make an unofficial manual for games that don'r have one and the nostalgia people wpuld buy their games from them for that.

Problem is that ebay and amazon have better prices for used niche games and that is gamestops forte that walmart, best buy and such doesn't have.

Ah yes. Why would stepping on that sexual threshold have any impact on decisions made around sex. I wonder...

So you think age of consent should be after puberty starts then.

The average age for girls to begin puberty is 11, while for boys the average age is 12. But it's different for everyone, so don't worry if your child reaches puberty before or after their friends. It's completely normal for puberty to begin at any point from the ages of 8 to 14. The process can take up to 4 years.

Then me asking why 12 makes a difference to you is an even more important question seeing your weird view on age of consent here.

Apparently some people can reach it by age 8.

You said it was consensual. I quoted you in post 121.

Perhaps now you are realizing your error.

The argument has been proposed by other posters that because he is dying, whatever trauma he suffers from having NON-CONSENSUAL sex is so temporary that we can ignore it.

So the question I put forth is why trauma via torture would be any different?
And before you answer "because he asked for it" again, the whole point of minors cannot consent means they don't understand how it will effect themselves mentally.
And that said trauma taking years to develop is also a weird take some users have made.

Seeing as puberty is around 13, no.

But according to your logic what is most important is if the person wants it.
Not whether they can consent as deemed by society.

So why does puberty all the sudden change things for you?

To play devils advocate a bit the age of consent in a fair bit of Europe is 15 though yes it is 17 in AUS.

The point is, if you think it is ok to break a rule about a cutoff age, then why apply another cutoff age?

So the government says kids under 17 can't consent.

You (not you but the people in this) say, nah a 15 year old can, so we break the rule cause he is dying.

So what age is it not ok? 12? 10? 9?

The more I look into it, the more it seems like Robin Hood is just way over their head, they decided to make their own clearing house (like Charles Schwab and the big platforms) instead of using a 3rd party clearing house. We Bull and everyone else was able to come back so quick because they use a reputable 3rd party CH to back their trades.

I wonder how quick the mass exodus from RH can happen to other platforms, hopefully early next week. RH might be dead in the water unless they get a massive influx in capital ($1 bil raised yesterday didn't do shit for them) or the meme stock trend dies out.

If that was the case, why couldn't CEO just say this?

Instead he was all over the place. So this makes me think this is not actually why the are limiting.

I mean, what else do they have?
They SEC sided with retailer investors today:
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/29/sec-reviewing-recent-trading-volatility-amid-gamestop-frenzy-vows-to-protect-retail-investors.html
"The SEC vowed to to protect traders and promised to scrutinize actions taken by brokerages that may unduly inhibit their ability to trade certain securities.

It is non-action but at the very least it was more than silence.

And congress is going to ask RobinHood, "why exactly did you limit GME?"

They will say "the stock is volatile, we had to protect our customers!"

Then congress will say "but this other stock is volatile and was never limited."

Now they have nothing to say.
Except that they can say "that may have BEEN the case, but we updated our policy and now limit all stock like that such as AMD"
