Fellas, I got some bad news.
I am struggling on the second boss.

Woah, beat him on my like my third try.

Once I figured out that deflect just meant dodge it made things a lot easier.

I never play any kind of "hard" games like this, so even beating this first boss is an accomplishment to me.

I think I have to grind to level up some more.

Looks like I'll get to enjoy some of the worst air quality in the world!

Will I beat him?
Probably not.
I died like 10 times just getting there and I'm not fully sure I understand how to properly play the game.

I wish they had rechargeable batteries built in, but at the same time I feel like people with Playstations complain that the built in batteries suck.

I bought some rechargeable battery packs. They last a long time and I have pretty cheap ones. Just swap back and forth when needed.

Going for the NASCAR race. Most of my friends live there, but I will have a lot of free time on my own to do whatever.

Definitely need to get yourself some hobbies or something.

I actually really like being by myself most of the time. I can watch movies and play video games or go wherever I want to go. But something happens in the summer where I am just by myself too much.

Part of the reason I get depressed every summer is because I miss the connections I have with my students on a daily basis.

I am a single man living in rural Ohio and I am at the top of the salary schedule.
In the grand scheme of things I might not make that much, but really I live like a king.
I am also getting a $3,000 raise next school year, so money is not a problem.

What about picking up a hobby over summer?
It's not work, and can keep your mind/body occupied.

My main hobby is running and summer is the only time I really have time to do it as much as I want.
I also coach Cross Country and we have informal practices during the summer so I get to see people then.

Like all students and teachers, I look forward to summer break. Counting down the days at the end of the year. I love not having to set an alarm or come up with lesson plans. It is a nice break from work to charge my batteries and have some free time.

But at the same time I hate summer break. After the first week of break, when the initial joy of sleeping in wears off, depression sets in. Now my circumstances are different than most teachers, I'm a single male bachelor with no kids, which is part of the issue. I'm just alone all the time. And when I am alone all I do is overthink and over analyze everything going on in my life until I drive myself crazy. Could I get a summer job or teach summer school? Yes, but I stubbornly don't want to give up the freedom of summer that I have earned, even if it is very isolating most of the time.

Anyways these have just been some ramblings. It is summer and I am currently sad.

Ordered 8 games, 4 came yesterday and it said the rest of my order was being delivered today. Well instead of just getting the other 4, I got all 8.

It's a FPS roguelike. One of my favorite roguelike games is Immortal Redneck, also a FPS, and even though I loved that I put off playing Gunfire Reborn until the other day. Only a few runs in, but I think I am starting to dig it. Seems to take a bit too long to level up but thats the nature of the beast. It is on Xbox Game Pass.

Harry Potter is really the only big one.

My favorite thing is watching movie series (3+ movies) straight through. So I have seen all major ones, I am down to some pretty obscure things now. Though there are several series where I have seen a few but plan on a full rewatch soon.
