Which series should I play?

I have in possession several trilogies (or series) of games that I could in theory play in a row. Which should I play?

I'm afraid that is too much content!

It is but you put it on the poll so if it wins you just have to deal with that.

Here's the thing about Mega Man:

Some of the games are truly magical. Wonderful, innovative action platformers that will light up your life.

Then there are the...other Mega Man games. These range from simply being derivative of their predecessors and kind of unexciting to being absolute trainwrecks that make you wonder how they got released (mostly the later X games, one of which the director apologized for way before that kind of thing became common).

The balance is about 50/50.

The general rule is that later numbered entries in a Mega Man series aren't as good as early ones. There are exceptions, but usually 3 or 4 is the cutoff.

If you wanna start that journey, more power to ya, but as a Mega Man mega fan, I felt I had to warn you.

The good games are well-worth your time, but don't beat your head against a game like X6 wondering when the fun starts. It won't.

The Zero games are all great though. You're safe with those.

Voted Devil May Cry because if you give me a chance to make you play Devil May Cry 2 I will and I will laugh maniacally about it.

Morbid curiosity. Could I see your classic series ranking?

Honestly, the classic series is the one I've played the least of. I'm not as into it as the others. Of the ones I actually played

3>11(ignoring double gear easy mode mechanics)>2>7>1

When I said the later ones usually aren't as good, I was mostly talking X, Battle Network (with the exception of 6), and my friends who love classic series tell me that 5-8 follow that trend too. Also kinda Legends. There are only two of em but 2 is pretty bad and 1 is great. I just didn't wanna bog down TC with every detail of my thoughts on such an enormous franchise so I kept it general.
