I had a horrible first year of teaching. Literally everything went wrong. The kids broke 2 laptops, my document camera and class was crazy everyday.

I was pulled out if class in the middle of teaching because I had to talk to the fucking cops about potential child abuse I reported and that student involved was mad I was messing up their family and they sent me bad emails.

I lived a nightmare. I was also sexualy harassed by another teacher. Dude spent the entire year trying to get me to play for the other team but I ain't gay though.

3 years ago I had a year from hell.

6th grade. Inner city school. Teachers who had been at that school like 20+ years didn't even hesitate to tell me they were by far the worst kids they had ever seen. I also no realize that my administration was shit and didn't really know how to deal with problems. Me and the other teachers literally tried liked 30 different things (we made a list) to try and control behavior and nothing worked. To give you an idea of how bad it was, I sincerely hoped I would get cancer just so I could stop having to go to work there each day.

Thankfully that is in the past now. I work at a nice school with nice kids. And after that year from hell the kids at my current school, no matter how "bad" they think they are, don't even phase me for a second.

There are huge differences between the grades in that age level.

I teach 5th grade, but have previously taught 6th as well.

I start next week and I already know a lot of my kids, and I guess by chance all my favorite 4th graders from last year are in my homeroom this year so it should be a good year.
