You get points for winning a stage, then they line everybody back up for a restart to star the next stage. Also now there is a season playoff format where people qualify. 16 drivers make the playoff to win the championship, then once they playoffs start they cut the surviving drivers down every race until there are only 4 left who can win in the final race.
