It's not good behavior to have affairs but to publically shame and hurt people's careers for it is abhorrent unless it's someone like a politician or religious figure who uses their influence to punish others for similar actions.

That's no reason to specify that the cartoons are Japanese. Especially when they're not even always Japanese. Lots of cartoons come from China or Korea that get called Anime. It's very often relevant. Anime has a significant following in the US and it's useful to quickly differentiate it as an interest. It's technically incorrect to call anything but Japanese cartoons anime, but colloquially it can be understood that they come from different countries. Incredible posted...
