Cigs and alcohol. I switched to a juul and I was going through 2 pods a day for a while but I've cut back to 1, hopefully I can keep cutting down until I can quit for good, but at least now I dont smell like an ashtray. With alcohol I've pretty much quit but I still have a bender every once in a while when I do drink.

This isn't the same as getting cheated on and raising a kid in lie but my dad adopted my step brother many years ago cause his biological dad was a piece of shit. Anyway, his mom and my dad ended up getting divorced a decade ago but he's still apart of family and comes to all our family gatherings during the holidays and he shares no genetic material with any of us but he's still my brother and my dad is still his father

Yeah but that was by choice with his full knowledge. There was no manipulation and conniving involved which is what makes these situations so shitty. If the women came out from the start and admitted she had an affair and that the child may not be his, maybe the guy would still stay and try to work through it. Or maybe he'd bail, at least he'd know.

It's not fair to be blindsided like this with something as big as this. It's just as unfair to the guy as it is for the child. The guy didnt ask for this either and he didnt get a choice either. If he decides to leave, it's the mom's fault for letting it get to that point in the first place knowing full well it wasnt his kid.

Itd be nice to not be lied to your whole life about something as big as this and like I said before, when the kids find out they're just as distraught as the dad is.

Maybe stop forcing people to unknowingly raise kids that arent their own, or tell them beforehand that it's not theirs. A whole lotta victim blaming going on ITT

Like is this about your wife cheating on you or is it more than that?

I've been cheated on before. Pretty easy to just dump them afterwards. Kinda hard to do that when you get manipulated into something without you knowing and only find out about it far into the ordeal, and that's not the dad's fault. Maybe dont do shitty things and this situation wouldn't come about.

I think infidelity is bad, but I don't understand the idea that the person you raised for X years is somehow a waste to you because they don't share your DNA is really dumb.

Well if this ain't shitpost of the year I don't know what is. I've seen some fucking garbage here over the years, but damn. This post right here.

So if you raised and loved a kid for ten years only to find out hes not really your kid, youd abandon them and never look back?

Without a second thought.

Well, maybe that's a little harsh to say it like that, but I absolutely don't think I could stand to be a part of their life anymore.

That's a pretty shitty thing to do

Funny you call that shitty, but have no comment on the people who cheat on their spouse and lie to their spouse and their child(ren).

I'd say that's more shitty, like your post.

Yes, the wife is a lying piece of crap. The child however is innocent. Treating them like some sort of stranger isnt fair to them at best and is monstrously cruel at worst. They didn't ask to be born like they were, they had no choice in their parentage. Running out on them, the only father they ever knew, is just as shitty as the cheating wife. Maybe more so.

And whose fault is it that this situation is even happening? I'm sorry but after knowing the truth it would be hard to look at my child the same way ever again and not be reminded of what happened and you cant blame anyone for feeling that way. This could have all been avoided if someone wasnt a manipulative lying cheat.

If it was me I'd probably stay for the child. But I'd definitely pull them aside and tell her the truth, and that I'm divorcing their whore of a mother, but also make sure they know it's not the child's fault and I'll still try to love them the same

The people who kept that a secret are still horrible people for doing that and most of these stories are people who are fully grown and finding out their dad isnt their real dad and the kids feel just as shitty.

It's horrible that they cheat, get knocked up from cheating, and keep it a secret and not face any consequences for it. It's just extra that they put up a show and let their spouses raise a kid that's not theres when they full well know it's not.

When the assholes outnumber the people who would benefit, yes it is quite pointless. And ask the janitor who is going to have to clean that up every day if he thinks this is "doing something nice" lmao

A bunch. But also a bunch of good ones. It's just like any other customer service industry job, it just comes with the territory. But at least I have methods of dealing with them at least. They make a mess or damage my car then they get charged a steep price. I already pay monthly for unlimited interior car washes so any messes don't cost me anything extra out of pocket so that's just free money. If they're unruly (beyond reason at least, I have patience for standard dumb drunk stuff) then I just give them a bad rating and I never get a request from them again.

These are my earnings for the week. It's a typical week for me. I usually take Mondays off (slowest day, do chores and go out sometimes since I dont like crowds and the bars are more low key on Mondays) and drive the rest of the week. As you can see by the hours, I try to work about 40 hours a week or so, which I'll hit tomorrow. I keep both on at the same time for the most part unless I'm chasing Uber surges so no, I havent worked 66 hours.

As you can see I've hit about $1000 already with tomorrow still to come. I spend about $150-$200 in gas a week so I usually get about $1000 profit in about a week.

Of course how lucrative it can be depends on where you live (cost of living, gas prices, is there enough demand for rideshares, etc) and what kind of car you have. But it can be a decent gig where you make your own hours and you can still have time to do recreational stuff.

Really?

Would you feel short changed if you spent $49.87 on something with a $50 bill and you received 10 cents change?

Even though all non cash transactions are calculated to the cent

You guys realize this already happens right? For instance:

I go to the gas station and buy an Arizona Tea. The total is $1.03. But when I buy two of them, the total is $2.07. Any guesses as to why that is?

Because the actual total of one tea ISN'T exactly $1.03. It is actually somewhere between $1.0325 and $1.0349. So you see, prices are already rounded up. You just don't know this because you didnt grow up in a world where "half pennies" were a thing, which they used to be until we discontinued them. And btw, when the half penny was discontinued, it had much more buying power than the current penny does now (it was worth about what a dime is worth now)

https://gizmodo.com/the-u-s-killed-the-half-penny-when-it-was-worth-what-a-1639266183

It is high fucking time we discontinue pennies and just round up to the nearest $0.05 for cash transactions and call it a day. Sometimes you'll lose a couple of cents, sometimes you'll win a couple of cents. It's not that big of a deal. Or hell just go ahead and do it for noncash transactions too for uniformity

Who cares honestly?

Realistically cars are going to be automated in 20 or so years and we'll have a mass transit system of automated Uber. Then car ownership will be a thing of the past.

To get around town you'll buy your monthly pass, and to go on long road trips you'll buy long distance single tickets

That way the money sink of insurance, gas, registration, car payments, etc... will finally be gone.

I just refer to all the dregs of society as "degenerates" and call it a day. People who play the card of "not all black people are n*****s" are just trying to scope the crowd to see if they can call certain people by that word but not catch too much flack for it.

There are so many powerful and descriptive words to describe dumb motherfucking degenerates in the English language yet for some reason some people want to be able to say one word so badly without consequence that it's just mind blowing. News flash: you are free to say that word as much as you want but you gotta deal with the repercussions of it. If I call someone a bitch then that person is gonna feel a certain way and that person might retaliate. I dont understand why some people think they should be able to say the n word without any retaliation.

Long story short, conservatives arent anarchists, they believe in needing authority figures like the police to keep the peace and respecting said authority. Cars mainly. Just never been a hobby of mine, just get me something with good MPGs and decent turning radius and acceleration and I'm good. My Versa Note isnt exactly stylish but it has all of that plus storage room for road trips.

Besides that I dont really have any disdain for other typical manly things. I love sports and I go fishing all the time (only an occasional hunter though). I'm not a fitness geek but I do try to work out a few times a week. I like my natural body type and it doesnt take much to maintain. I don't claim to be a bodybuilder but I at least put in some work.

The working out part is funny to me tho about how it's a manly thing but I know far more many girls that hit the gym regularly than guys, but that might just be an anecdotal thing I guess
