So, yeah, that was me being on autopilot (which you don't have to believe; I had several days to go back and reread what I'd written), but I had honestly meant 'police,' as I explained/excused/pleaded to the other poster. Norris has been sort of blunt and policey and rar-rar anti-PC stuff in the past. He's a Republican.

That said, I did find him disclaiming presence at the Jan. 6 insurrection (said it was a look-alike). So at least he's not getting rich off that.

Well USA as far as I know didn't have another big outbreak from July 4th holiday.

We definitely did. People aren't getting tested as diligently anymore, but my contact tracing case load went from about five a week in March-May up to eleven a day (which is the maximum load we're ever assigned in a day; these were the same numbers I was getting at the height of it last year).

Way to be. Congrats! That's nice. Titanium is the way to go for engagement rings, unless you have a job where you might break a finger or something (since it basically can't be cut). My spouse as I both got titanium engagement rings (plain bands) and then gold wedding rings (plain bands). They're identical to each other, just slightly different sizes because our hands are different.

The titanium gets scratches and loses its reflection, but is strong and enduring. The gold dents easily and can be cut away, but maintains a bright luster and value. If I weren't going through a separation right now, I could write a whole romantic pamphlet about the symbolism of the strength of the promise (titanium) and the gleaming-yet-imperfect playing out of the marriage (gold).

Not inherently, not historically, but recently and deliberately. Yes and no. These names are already jumping around the Greek alphabet. We already have iota (which covers three New York substrains) and lambda. They're supposed to be named sequentially based on the order in which they became known, but I wouldn't expect to see "zeta" or "omega" any time soon (too final-sounding to explain to the public). Also not thinking psi/phi/pi will have distinct enough sounding names to get play.

I mean, we already have the God's Not Dead franchise and all the similar Christian movies getting mainstream releases and all of the pro-police/security/intelligence/armed forces throwaway lines and characters in Marvel movies and others. Stretching after is important, too. If you can get a lacrosse ball or a softball and roll on that on the muscle that hurts, it will help release the knots (but it will also hurt in the first 30-45 seconds like an intense massage).

Also try an Epsom salt bath. They're usually better for more recent strain, but it may still help.

It's not the same, but my ex had two cats and one got terribly sick suddenly after playing outside one day; it was dead within a few days. From birth, female children are treated differently than male children. Their freedom of movement is constrained constantly because of adult fear of rape. They are denied hobbies and activities because of their sex and all religions preach that there are distinct Man and Woman souls that are different (and two-spirit/other gender diverse cultures generally only allow male people to enter these variant gender identities, while still keeping female people as women). They have to fight and justify their existence, while being treated to "gotchas" about why they wear make-up or "choose" to take time off after giving birth.

After a lifetime of walking home with keys between their fingers; with all medical attention being based on whether they are or can be pregnant (and deliberately negligent exclusion of female people from medical trials); with being treated to media meant to make them hate their appearance so they can fight their secondary sexual characteristics (breasts are too saggy, skin is too wrinkly, natural body hair is too unsanitary...); with being made fun of for being female and being raised as Girls and Women, meant to occupy and inhabit a suite of stereotypes and nurturing behaviors...

Obviously, they would take issue with being told that all of these things are inherent to their souls and that they must identify with these things. The whole notion of "cis" relies on believing that Women and Men are real, actual, inherent roles that exist within the (brain, heart, soul), transcending time and space, rather than that they are a social construct that, despite changing across culture and era, always position female people-as-Women underneath male people-as-Men in the gender hierarchy. They also resent being told that "sex and gender aren't the same thing" [a true statement] while also being told that male people can "identify as female." There is a constant liberal conflation of "sex" and "gender," and weaponization of the concepts as one, despite the crowing that sex and gender are not the same.

Sex is innate and immutable. Gender is social and constructed. Like money, religion and race, gender exists and does harm, but is not an actual force of the universe.

Anything is possible with the right marketing team, but I don't think the health results would be as exciting. Other than the salads, there's not much in the way of fiber on the McDonald's menu, so whereas you could eat three squares from Subway and get basically rounded nutrition, you'd really be aching to fit CICO into a McDonald's diet and still have healthy poops, so visually, you'd still have a big, sludgy gut even if you did lose weight.

"I eat two 6" Veggie Delights and a 6" tuna sandwich." is an easier sell than "I have a small fries for breakfast, a big salad with 1/4 of the dressing packet and a 4-piece McNugget for dinner."have

(Also, I've wanted to say this for months after having to see the word "McDonald's" over over and over again in sentences from various European languages for work: If you speak a romance language, the word McDonald's is a very ridiculous, Klingon-looking word.)
