I'm tired of listening to my old man ramble about the local weather person being wrong, let's gamify this shit and turn it into a new age way to gamble.

There has to be some sort of tool measuring accuracy prediction after the fact, wouldn't be that hard to come up with a scoring metric once you had the data available.

Then you split it into local and national leagues and go from there. Seemingly super easy and I don't have to worry about Brad on channel 5 missing the season because he tore his ACL.

Anyone know if a database like what I'm describing exists?

I doubt a database exists, it would basically be like fantasy football during its inception where everyone would have to compile stats and points by hand.

That said, I would absolutely play

Nothing handy and comprehensive. This one will give you accuracy readouts, but you have to go ZIP by ZIP, so that's tedious: https://www.forecastadvisor.com/

This is a study about the four-year reliability of various dopplers (I think, I barely skimmed it), but doesn't have in-depth historical records: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/latest-study-of-120-million-forecasts-proves-accuweather-forecasts-are-most-accurate-300986848.html

You could see if the publishers of Old Farmers' Almanac keep records of forecasts relative to their outlooks. They're famously reliable in their broad strokes forecasts.
