You're not allowed to invest the money nor are you allowed to resell anything that you buy. You can solely use the money for bills, goods, services etc. No one can inherit the money either. Councillor Higgins, who didnt name the school, added: I know this caused upset to a number of my pupils. I didnt teach that chapter but pupils tend to go for a look through the books when they know it is there. These contents and materials in Glasgow City Council schools still is concerning and is opposed to the TIE values and the values we say we have in Glasgow City Council. It is worth reviewing that. Councillor Higgins concerns emerged as councillors discussed a report on council efforts to boost equality at the well-being, equalities, communities, culture and engagement committee last week. Responding to the politicians points, a council officer said: For a number of years we have been trying to work even closer with the Archdiocese of Glasgow (Catholic Church). The official said the council recognises the Archdiocese has a curriculum content structure of their own which we appreciate runs alongside what we do. He added: We absolutely identify with what you are saying councillor and these are the challenges we face on an ongoing and daily basis. We try to work closely with the headteachers and school communities to encourage the usage of appropriate material. But I think frankly it is a tough nut and we can only keep pushing for it. Councillor Higgins who represents the Canal ward said she knows it is challenging and is also challenging for staff. She said ongoing dialogue is really important. A mum-to-be has revealed her 25 gender reveal cupcakes were knocked onto the floor by the bakers dog but they are still demanding payment. According to the 22-year-old expectant mother she was left disappointed after the box of sweet treats was sent plummeting before a party she was due to hold over the Easter weekend for family and friends. The baker still wants her to pay the 25 they'd agreed upon prior to collection, but she doesn't think she should. A few days before the Saturday event, she reached out to a local baker to make an order of 12 cupcakes "with pink and blue icing on top, and pink icing in the middle". When she went round on Friday evening to pick them up, however, disaster struck. the Mirror reports the fed-up woman recalled: "I drove to her apartment and knocked on the door. She greeted me there with the box of cupcakes and they looked amazing. "They were exactly how I imagined them and I thanked her for them. She gave me the box, but just as she did, her large pet dog came running up to me, barking, and jumped at me, knocking the box of cupcakes all over the floor." The baker apologised before shutting the dog inside, explaining that he just gets excited by visitors and wouldn't have meant her any harm. At first, she didn't realise how much damage had been done to the cupcakes, as the box had landed upside down. Upon further inspection, however, she saw how "the icing had smashed all over the box". Some of the cakes had even fallen out on the ground. She continued: "The baker looked horrified as I understand she spent a few hours making them for me. She apologised and said she could remake them for free, but they wouldn't be ready until Sunday. "I said, unfortunately, I'm expecting my guests tomorrow and Sunday is no good, as I already had other plans. I explained I wouldn't be paying for these cupcakes as they were inedible and ruined by her dog. We agreed payment upon receiving the goods, and since I never received them, I wouldn't be paying." The baker went on to argue however that she should still pay, given that she'd been left out of pocket after buying the ingredients. She refused, and headed off without the cupcakes, but now feels guilty and wonders whether or not she did the right thing. Even games with much better gameplay or less faults just don't amount to the same "Greater than the sum of their parts" that FFIX does.
