There's multiple reasons why people are passing out.

1. Huge crowd makes things chafy
2. There's no shade, they're just standing in the sun

I think the answer is technically yes but only from random enemy drops. Anecdotally drop rate for a 5* artifact seems to be around 1/200 for bosses (like ruin guard) so basically don't bother trying.
