I remember a lot of people trashing X for its linearity back when it was still relatively new. I was genuinely surprised at how much love I saw it get when the remasters dropped because I remembered so many "wah no world map, wah silly laughing scene, wah romance plot, wah whiny Tidus" posts <_<

Still haven't played 13, but while 10 is linear, it's map layouts arent dissimilar to dungeon layouts. People have called 13 a "hallway simulator" so idk if it's just a double standard or if they actually just put a bunch of straight lines and called it a map lol.

The first 40 hours of the game you're literally running in straight lines. There's an occasional brief fork that goes to a chest and a short minigame thing with Sazh in the city but otherwise the game is basically hallways.

Eventually when you get to an area where you can accept cieth side quests it has an open area but by the time you get there you're already done with of the game

The real dirty secret here is that most of this stuff is legal. Like when Trump buried his ex wife on Mar-a-lago so he could call the whole thing a cemetery for taxes. Or the fact that Clarence Thomas got 10,000s worth of gifts was all legal. The only rule he broke was that he didn't disclose that he got them but it was perfectly legal for him to accept them in the first place.

The only way to hold people accountable is to vote them out of office or at least vote people into office who are willing to change the laws so that such obvious corruption isn't legal.

And the great thing about Japan's AV industry is that most of the stuff we see on streaming sites is like 1/30th of the actual content spread locally. It's pretty funny that such a hi-tech place like Japan has a huge market for DVDs, mainly AVs produced by local producers.
