When you sign up you give them your email address. Im not talking about turning up to dudes house or blowing up his phone but something like a quick email to say hey havent seen you in a while.

A lot of websites do that actually, but its usually automated. Ive seen it on clothing websites and some consumer info websites - hey we havent seen you in a while how about a discount? But this time it would be, hey you havent logged in in a while, you ok?

i can't and don't care to speak for po but i think i would be incredibly weirded out if someone emailed me because i didn't log onto a forum for a while

but yeah, honestly sounds like he needed to make a show of this to hide his embarrassment that he never taught his kid how to use a can opener. i remember my parents trying to get me to learn how to tie shoes in a very similar way and it only made me frustrated and discouraged, it didn't help me learn

i used to hate them but then i got to a point where i needed regular blood tests and sort of exposure therapy'd myself out of it

Physical is ALWAYS better, because you actually own the game. It can never been taken away. "Purchases" digital downloads is only paying for a rental fee.
