Like, kids are visual learners, showing them how to use a can opener then letting them try on a couple cans afterwords would have been a lot quicker and a lot less frustrating for everyone involved. Giving them a can and a can opener and saying "go for it" is going to lead to 6 hours of frustration, a beat up can, and probably hundreds of hours of therapy later in life. --- I am a Contract Software Developer.
