we're well into the second wave, all the elementary and high schools pretty much fully reopened in september and cases have been spiking since. my particular area is still doing ok for case numbers but i wouldn't want to be anywhere near toronto right now. thankfully at least people are pretty good about wearing masks from what i've seen

at my first high school i was quite heavily bullied actually, but at my second i was a bit of a visible presence because i was frequently on the school's TV channel thing and i also was involved with the drama department, so most people knew who i was. that was only for a little over a year before i finished though

The problem is blocking doesn't really stop it. You said they were making accounts specifically to harass you. If that's true, blocking them just means they make another account.

it... does stop it tho? the whole reason they were able to function is because moderation mostly didn't affect them, and ignoring doesn't actually stop them from doing anything, it just stops me from seeing it (which also made it harder to mark for moderation as well). so, blocking does its job. and even if they do make another one, it's very easy to block it too and remove access to my posts. it's not 100% but it's done pretty well at dealing with my harassers.

i don't think it's good that i know more than you about this, but i do literally know more than you about this :P

this is a really callous take that i'm a bit disappointed to see from you. what am i supposed to do about people who make accounts specifically to harass me when the site's moderation has failed to properly deal with it? if your "experience" is making someone else's experience more difficult then that's not a virtue worth protecting

yes and no. transitioning doesn't change orientation in itself, but it can certainly enable someone to explore aspects of their attraction they may have previously not felt able to. a trans woman who previously identified as a straight man might start to feel differently about men now that they are looking at her as a woman, for example

You overthink things for starters. Beyond that, who cares what your problems are, this is the job you chose.

Personally, its always weird to me when people use old usernames. But thats because the conversation gets confusing sometimes because I usually know people by their current usernames... I have gotten better because I know some of them now. But its still kind of weird...
