Covid has made the prices soar even higher where I thoughtit would've gotten cheaper due to heaps of people selling off collections for cash and not enough people able to spend money on it. Crazy. Don't like playing as V. Feels more button mash'y and just doesn't feel satisfying to me. Hard problems dodging at first because I'm used to Souls or Bayonetta type dodging with huge i-frames. The narrative, story, dialogue are all utter shit and die-hard fans are trying to tell me how's it's a masterfully written and thought provoking it is. Aloy is a terrible, boring mary sue of a protagonist and it annoys me how useless everyone is in this world. Everyone usually gets themselves killed and it's me to the player to do a shitloads of boring side quests and fetch missions. The setting and visuals are definitely interesting and well done. But the concept of robots taking over the world is definitely not that unique. And the exposition dumps are just bad. They put 6 different voice tapes in a room and make you sit and listen to them to get the backstory. I like getting a wee bit buzzed and getting the euphoria getting drunk sucks and I hate that everyone who wants to drink just wants to make getting black out shitfaced the end goal of the night.
