It could have been lightning; it is not always accompanied by thunder. although if it lasted a good 60 seconds, that's a bit more tricky to explain.

it does not imply only attraction, but preference. attraction may be normal, but preference is probably not.

one of the greatest games OF ALL GD TIME
one of the most iconic characters of all time those are not the criteria that you should be using for this contest; it's about the rivalry, not the game or the characters specifically. although I still agree that Samus VS Ridley should be winning; although I know next to nothing about pokemon -- Atheism is merely a consequence of having intellectual honesty.
