I am at the point that if I did something "rash" it would not be "rash" it would be me, objectively choosing it, because honestly, it might be the kind thing to do for those who care about me. Preferable to watching me spend 30-40 more years dying slowly and miserably.

But that's not all you did. You went on to proclaim "the whole taking a knee thing a joke" - so how did you come to that conclusion, and what roles does this incident play in it?

Well the whole thing is a joke because the "issue of cops killing unarmed blacks at an alarming rate" isnt true at all. Theres other issues more serious than this that are having a much bigger impact on the community. And not to mention these players are awfully quiey when their teammates are knocking out wives and beating them.

"I'm not interested in you", because how can she be? The last 27 years of her life feel like nothing but one bad decision after another. She has alienated everyone around her, and her attempts to better herself backfire. Worse, she's self-aware enough to see herself fall into the same mistakes over and again, powerless against her instincts.

"Please leave me alone" means she knows she's going to hurt you. You'll eventually hate her, and she'll hate herself for doing thay to you. The moments of joy your friendship could bring arent worth the pain.

As mediocre as Insurrection was, it was cool to finally see Worf take on the entire Son'a crew and almost win at the end.

I honestly barely remember it. I've seen all the shows except Enterprise through about fifteen times a piece (except the original, I've probably seen it through once), but the movies are just ... eh.

All ST movies (TOS and TNG) were a different beast from the TV series since it was a different medium. I remember reading how character development and world building would often have to take a backseat to witty dialogue and action, not because anybody wanted an "action movie", but because it was hard to do a "sci fi drama"

Honestly, I don't think it's that. It's that you have like 1/100th the time to tell the story. Movies can't go into the same depths that serialized television can. Character development has to play out over two hours or so, instead of several weeks.

The only Star Trek movies I really liked were the new ones. Most fans shit on them because they aren't philosophical enough or some shit like that, but honestly, they are closer to the original series than most of the other movies.
