It wasn't that bad tbh

Spent an hour on the treadmill, with my heartrate never dipping below 150. My average was 160 and my highest was 180

Here's to getting fit I guess ^^

Where are you now in your fitness journey?

I sat on my ass for a couple years. I only got up to like 150-155, but it was a bad, out-of-shape 150-155. My first time on a treadmill I did 2.25 miles in 30 minutes. After a little over a year of doing it once a week I got up to 7.5-7.75 miles in an hour. Nothing terribly special, but I was amazed at how much more energy I had. It felt pretty amazing, and I was hooked. I'd post progress pics of my body, but I think that would be a little too racy. Suffice to say that I feel much better there too.

what is your routine

Not nearly as targeted as it probably ought to be. I don't have ready access to a gym or a great deal of equipment, so I do mostly bodyweight stuff. Basically I do as many push-ups as I can day 1, as many chin-ups as I can day 2, cardio day 3, various curls day 4, various presses day 5, cardio day 6. Off day 7, or mixed in somewhere in the middle depending on circumstances. Treadmill, exercise bike, jump rope, and shadow boxing for my cardio. Probably in the 'babby's first routine' territory because I don't really know what I'm doing, but it seems to be working okay for me so far. I feel good, anyway.

Get your diet on track first, the gmy is useless without a proper diet.

Don't fuck around in the gym, time is precious. Have a routine, and stick to it, for best results.

If you need further help with anything let me know, I've worked with a few people here.

Right now I'm on a low carb diet. So that's definitely in the works. No more mac and cheese ;~;

What would you reccomend a routine be like for a beginner? I just want to lose weight, then start working on muscles and mah glutes

Yeah, I went to chase after my dog one day and I just jogged for like 45 seconds and I was breathing hard. I was thinking, "what the hell happened to me?" I didn't have much energy and I just didn't feel good. I guess I could share a couple pictures, though the 'before' is actually from a couple months into my exercising, so I was a little worse than that at the start. Still want to add a bunch more muscle onto my frame, but I'm pretty happy with how I've improved so far.

Dude welcome to the gym life.

If you're looking to get comfortable lifting. You can start with machines and work your way over to the free weights. People seem to be less intimidated by the machines.

Watch some videos on youtube about routines and check out bodybuilding website. It's actually good for coming up with some good workout routines.

I found keto + intermittent fasting to be a cheat code to cutting weight. I lost 40lbs in 6 months.

Weight loss is all diet. It's easier to not consume 100 calories ( can of coke) then it is to burn it off at the gym. Get the diet in check, most people can lose weight without going to the gym.

If youre down to lift, i can send you a copy of my beginners womans routine. It's a simple 3 day program. From there i have a 4 day with an optional 5 that grows upper body a bit more ( i find females respond to upper body work outs really well) and finally i have a 4 day program that trains legs twice a week for some good booty gains .

Diet comes first and foremost though.

Damn. That's an insane amount of weight. Congrats

Yeah I definitely want that routine. Is it actually for beginners who havent been to the gym before tho?
