The only Rune Factory game I played was the PS3 one... Tides of Destiny? I don't play a ton of chill games, but it was decent. Atelier Ryza is the best one of those sorta things I have played in forever. I picked up the second one but haven't tried it yet.

Everyone handles death differently. Him smiling doesn't indicate he's happy his son died. Maybe he just wants a positive photograph with the grave to try to make the best of a horrible situation?

And it's not always super easy for people to tell when others are going through stuff. It depends on who is involved (like how reserved they maybe are, day to day). 12 is a pretty awkward age and kids are sort of a hormonal mess from about then until adulthood. It's just a crappy situation.

She could have stuff going on like a death in the family or laid off and it's nothing for you to worry about but she's not feeling chatty. Seems like she likes you a lot.

devil's advocate time:

Maybe you waited too long to make a move? I dunno how old you are, but I def botched a few fresh relationships potentially by taking the slower approach once we got talking (when I was a teenager). And I had a pretty great dynamic with all those girls. In my efforts to not scare them off they lost interest, I think.

At this point, go to where she cuts hair and see what happens? Worst case scenario she had a change of heart or some ex resurfaced. But if I was in your shoes, I'd just take the plunge and head over to her work and you'll either get a positive response from her or a blow-off. But it's better to take charge and know.

I hope we see internet safety taken as seriously as it always should've been. The benefits would be farther reaching than it seems.

What I mean is that it could be a really helpful tool for increased human rights globally without bloodshed. Have a sort of EU policy where access to, say, the West's internet requires certain human rights and democratic norms be respected or else you're cut out entirely. This could be massively economically damaging to any government unwilling to do the right thing. And could passively result in at least some improvements in a lot of regions.

Obviously, that alone won't solve most domestic or foreign woes online and offline, but I can't see how forcing rights and transparency upon places via the all mighty dollar is a bad thing. I dunno...

you need to commit for 2 weeks to make a habit. that's why so many people fail. past that, it's easy to keep going. i hate the chronic pain excuses... i made them for years and i thought they were legit. one day i decided "i'm gonna be in pain either way, so i may as well look good and keep my heart healthy too." after like a month of agony, my pains almost totally went away. being in shape is remarkably good for chronic pain management.

TopicMinimum wage versus National Annual Wage
Raddest_Chad
02/14/21 11:42:50 PM

I think an annual min. salary is probably better, because it'll allow for more flexible work ours. It would need to be implemented in tandem with adjustments to part-time vs. full-time status requirements and other variables so employers don't take a person that at 40h/week would bring in $100k annually, but then give them the required amount to get away with only paying them 40k (assuming that would be the min. for skilled labor) and just hire two people, pay each one less, and save $20k per year. It would need a lot of considerations regarding worker protections, but makes more sense. Likewise, they'd need to classify jobs differently for annual wages.

Entry level stuff like fast food or retail should not carry the same annual income as a teacher or a mechanic or something. That would be absolutely stupid. A class system really would need to exist, but the mobility would be there as well as the guaranteed incentive of "go to school, move into a high class, and definitely be farther ahead." The gov't would win by having more high tax payers and businesses would have more skilled, enthusiastic workers.... in theory lol

RE7 is different.

It felt like more of a tech demo to lay a strong foundation for a future good game. I like that it's not an action series again, that's awesome, but the exploration was still pretty terrible as the "world" was so small and linear. I hated that more than it going all casual in 4-6. I had more fun with the little Village demo, as it seems like it's bringing back the exploration.

It really depends on what the topic is. If I had to say "yes" or "no" and commit to a position, I'd say no is the more fitting label. If someone presents their views with objective information backing it, I tend to respect them and find it possible to debate or agree or whatever. When it comes to people that quantify things as "mean" or "nice" and just sort of use feelings to guide them, it's like oil and water. And those types of people also tend to refuse to "agree to disagree" because they don't respect logic.

There's nothing I'd wanna change (my only noticeable imperfection is a crooked nose I got from it being broken once - but guys can get away with that), but stuff like fillers become a routine procedure because you have to get "touch ups" and if you don't it can end up looking worse than if it had been left. There are a lot of chicks with fillers around here and it's essentially a subscription service. I'm sorta vain, but even I couldn't start that for fear of where it would lead over time. Someone my wife knows gets lip fillers and I thought she was 10 years older than me when I met her, but she's actually a few years younger...

It sounds like she may be debating whether or not she "likes" you, but the hardest part is that no two people have the exact same demeanor or tells... she could be goofing around and just a pleasant person or she could be into you. Guys tend to slant towards seeing things that aren't really there more than not, but it does happen the other way too. It's a weird dynamic though, because for some guy at a store to ask out a customer may be awkward, likewise for the customer asking the person at work.

Really, the easiest workaround is not really feasible with the pandemic... that being "I can't wait for my shift to end, super hungry, I'm gonna go to (casual restaurant) after work. It's one of my fave places." and then if she leans into wanting to go, you're sorta free to invite her to tag along.
