Yeah... Islamic extremism as we know it today can basically be blamed on escaped Nazis fleeing there and training people their werwolf doctine. WWI really fucked the world up with its butterfly effect. Another reason I hate Woodrow Wilson so much. A WWII was probably inevitable, but I imagine anything else would've been less horrible than the one we got.

I'm one of the few that didn't care for RE4... I liked the old formula more. Ironically, I also liked RE5 more too (did not like 6 or 7 though). I am super stoked for REVillage though. The Maiden demo was amazing. Those graphics are really worthy of new hardware. The videos do not do it justice. Best looking game I have seen.

Actual Nazis liked Muslims and thought Americans were gross. So by definition, they aren't really Nazis. Bigots might be more fitting.

That's a really good point. I realize he's a fictional character, but Cletus from The Simpsons is married and has a bunch of kids. Is he a winner? lol

Minimum wage needs to be rebranded as living wage. "The living wage in this state is (blank)" sounds a lot better is basically makes any dissent paint the contesting parties in a really negative light. "You don't want people to have a living wage? Fuck you, dickwipe!"

Probably just invent Skynet and ask him to drone strike anyone that shares your stuff without authorization. It'd be a lot of work up-front, but those results would probably scare people into not stealing from you.

I had a job that, admittedly was a poor fit for a few reasons (though my boss thought I was fantastic), but when it was looking like I'd be in the office a few days a week at least, that was just stress on top of stress I didn't want so I just quit and decided to take my life in a different direction entirely.

If the FBI said "we want info about (blank)" and I had info about (blank), I'd share it and let them decide what direction they wanted to go with it. Growing up, my parents told me that if I broke the law, they'd be the first ones turning me in and I respect that more than the shitty parents taking the "my kids do no wrong" approach that led to my friend's little brother having constant and serious run-ins with the law (last I heard anyways... and not a real example, but their mom was so irresponsible in that way she probably would've blamed a person one of her kids ran over while drunk driving for getting in her kids' way). It's gotta be pretty awkward when it's the child calling out the parents though. That takes some serious scruples and I respect anyone willing to put what's right before "BuT mUh FaMiLy"

Yeah, it's pretty true. I think "Wtf?!" then remember what being a teenager was like and it seems a lot more reasonable. I was pretty responsible and smart as a teenager, but despite that could still be irrational and dumb too.

I love Black Lagoon and Cowboy Bebop. They're both very worth checking out. They've got a similar sorta vibe to them, with a plucky crew travelling about on adventures, albeit one now in the South China Sea on a boat and the other in the future in a space ship. They're both really fun though. Steins;Gate is pretty enjoyable too.

I am not a huge anime fan. Most of them I sorta watch once then just never want to go back to. I feel like the odd one that hooks me must be good. The only arguably "junk food" one I like is Dragon Ball, but a lot of that is nostalgia.

Gen Xers can be pretty fucking bad with tech. Boomer bad. I have some older family/friends from that demo. The divider between Gen X and Millennials seems to be Millennials are usually good with tech.

I really like the show. Season 3 was notably weaker than 1 and 2, IMO, but it was still good. I never liked the Robby character much, or Sam.

I have three of them... I never use them. Just bought them for novelty's sake. I wish Sony hadn't cheaped out soooo bad on theirs. No Silent Hill, RE2, Tomb Raider 2, Twisted Metal 2, Legend of Dragoon, or Castlevania: SotN?! Did the person who decided what to include have brain damage? Then using some inferior PAL versions? It's like they tried to make it flop. I can see stuff like Gran Turismo and THPS being such a licensing nightmare they wouldn't bother... but those other games should have all been there.

For anyone else, that would be shocking, but the only surprise for me is how low it is.

NetStorm. It was a really weird RTS that took place in the sky. You picked a faction tied to a specific element (fire, wind, water, electricity) and had to use a bridge/pathmaking system that connected to your starting area to build your various towers and such. It was really original and a blast online.

$1M? You can't retire young off that. I'd save it. My "share it around" cutoff is probably $10M, and even then I'd probably only hand out a max of 10% at that point. I'd like myself and my kid at least to not have to worry about money. Living reasonably, you could do it with that easily. I live in a place where everything is a fucking ripoff though, so $1M and move to a cheaper area would probably be smartest.

I don't think so. I am pretty blunt and open and respond well to others being that way too most of the time (people I dislike basically can't say anything without annoying me, but anyone I like or am neutral towards gets a pass XD). TBH, if somebody is just asking a reasonable question, and not to be passive-aggressive or a dick, I typically answer it.

I don't tip on takeout. I'm extremely cheap when it comes to buying food because I think it's a waste of money because it isn't "fun" and you can't keep it (well... you could, I guess, but that would be fucking disgusting and pointless). I value "stuff" over experiences. I understand people tipping on takeout during the pandemic, because they wanna help out the business (my dad has been giving like 20% tips during covid for takeout, apparently, for that reason).

I'll tip if I am having a sitdown meal, based on the service I receive. I won't give nothing if it sucks though, I'll give 2 cents just so they know they fucked up and it's not me being a cheapskate. If I am really happy, I will give 20% or round up to the next highest round dollar amount above 20%. I never, ever do delivery. I'd feel guilty not tipping the driver, so I always did in the past, and that just seems like a waste of money when I am able bodied and can just drive 5 minutes to pickup my own food. I just don't have a valid excuse to order delivery. When I have a kid, maybe I will just want the ease because I will be fucking worn down all the time, but for now that's not the case.

Technically it has two seasons... the "first three" are actually one huge season, with the fourth coming later to pair with Superman for a one-hour programming block, hence the art-style change. The "first" season, aside from a couple of episodes like The Underdwellers, is amazing, and some of the best TV available. The "second" (fourth) season has almost a totally different vibe to it and it's fine, but it's no masterpiece. The Batman animated series episodes in the darker, better-quality visual style and Batman Beyond are my favourite things in the DCAU. I can watch them on loop and never get bored. I binge them somewhat regularly. The others I've seen through twice-ish, and they're still pretty solid, but I don't really have much interest in watching them again.

Yeah. I remember playing No Mercy on N64. There was some story cage match against Stone Cold. I beat the shit out of him for 20 minutes. Tons of specials. It was just a major beatdown. Every time I so much as touched the cage, he'd stir and get up, then make sure I fell back down. This process looped for some time. I would even just leave him laying on the ground and time it, and he'd sometimes be there still for a couple minutes. More than enough time than it would take to climb out of the cage and win. Except touching the cage insta-revives him. Every time. So, at about the 90 minute mark, not exaggerating, I somehow managed to get near the top of the cage and he was still down. Then, the game remembered it was supposed to totally fuck me, and it put Stone Cold in fast-forward mode. He literally was moving at double the game speed, climbs up underneath me so I fall into the ring, then just hops out of the cage and wins. Obviously some sort of glitch was going on. I yelled. Took the game out of the N64, went outside, and smashed it against the driveway.

I'd probably get a Mercedes SUV of some sort. They look sharp in black with the chrome. Plus the older I get, the more I prefer SUVs to sporty things.

race is irrelevant, but they probably wanted someone that looked believably "loserish" for the show because the whole setup for Cobra Kai was Johnny Lawrence rebooting the dojo to train some victimized nerds to defend themselves and possibly beat up the people hassling them. She was obese, had glasses, a gummy smile, a bad haircut... it made it believable. She wasn't really replaced though, so this topic is erroneous. They were both present in season 2.

The most common thing I've never eaten is caesar salad. It smells vile. I hate parmesan, makes me wanna puke, and I am not a big fan of croutons either.

I think the internet being everywhere is probably a catch-22 for relationship successes too. It's good at people getting to know each other better depending where and how they meet and it allows for more communication. But the people that... aren't relationship material... it'll speed up the decline of what they're in for a number of reasons (if one person is prone to being unfaithful, or if one person is a jerk the other has more opportunities to meet a replacement, etc.)

the more quickly a virus spreads, the more it will mutate. viruses generally change in ways that make them more contagious and less lethal. their goal isn't a high killcount, it's just to multiply out of control. we are not outta the woods.

Basically, yeah. Quarantines are literally the only way moving forward, really. We're stuck with rotating plagues, and not wanting to hurt a certain sensitive government's feelings or corporate profits shouldn't be a reason to let way more people get infected until we destroy humanity for what amounts to keeping up appearances.
