for carbon fiber rims or mask brake dust? didn't really hear that
I meant carbon fiber wheels are usually always black... because they're carbon. They're also really light and equal what would be magnesium wheels of old. That's part of why they're usually black, because less unsprung weight on a performance car using carbon fiber.
As a bonus you don't see the black brake dust/dirt if you actually ya know... drive them.

If you ever see a car with silver rims look grungey or this black film on them, that's most likely just brake dust and thus stands out, making the car seem unkempt.

I'd still pick black anyways, since nowadays they're probably carbon regardless of choice and it tends to work with any body color.

Black is usually for carbon fiber rims or to mask all the brake dust.

Would pick black, unless the car itself is black then might consider silver depending on the model in question.

Not sure why that exists there, maybe to counter the apparent holocaust memorial that's somewhere nearby. The one photo of it does make it look badass though, tbh.

Honestly not surprised... there's a city about 25-30 mins away I've always heard relatives refer to as one of "those places" because of the people there. Some years ago they got a traffic light installed in a busy intersection, within a day of it being activated someone pulled out a rifle and shot it.

There's some real winners out there.

When we were kids we had one of those.move throughout the house one night and it freaked us all out so much because we didn't know any better.
In this case the balloon went through 2 rooms including a doorway, up the stairs, turned and travelled down a hall into my room and just happened to get sucked down into an oscilating fan.

It did all that without human/pet interaction. So needless to say I was very confused to find it as the cause.

Not really.

However, I once had one of those foily looking balloons you find in a store such as 'happy birthday' get low on helium and I kid you not, migrate through the entire house via some sort of air stream only to get sucked into the back of my fan in the dark while I was asleep.

That was the most horrifying sound and I woke up terrified trying to protect myself from a helicopter or lawnmower coming for me.

You could probably just rub them off... also what the hell did they expect by placing it at an intersection... stop and go traffic, people love tearing off like they're at the strip to go get some fizzypop at the corner store.

Also if that's the suspect vehicle, it's a mustang. It's probably just the result of the driver barely being able to tame its unbridled power, they're lucky it didn't wind up in a pole. They can just wait and pick them up later when it does happen.

Why do you think a museum is any less malleable than textbooks?
I never said it wasn't. It would at least be consolidated.

Then again things are manipulated and altered even in mainstream things. Be no different, do what ever you want. Shove the statues up your ass for all I care. Least then you could claim you desecrated it. That's not directed at you or anyone personally, just a general "I don't care anymore" because there's always going to be something.

there are books and a public education system to educate people on what the confederacy did. You dont need a statue that glorifies these villains to educate people
What happens when the people die? What about the books and information? They can be destroyed/edited and falsify information. Remember just about a year or less ago a book was printed and sold. I forget what it was, a school book or something, about how the US did 9/11 to itself as a reason to go to war. Guess that's fact now, because 1 guy put it in a school history book.

I'm not saying keep statues on display for all to see in a public park, rather a specific location. If you want to learn information and see things about the confederacy, then you know to expect it in a confederacy museum. It's not looming there around the corner of your apartment. That, is what I'm saying should be done. Take the better examples of statues and put them there. However, it seems some want to remove any trace things happened, which is not surprising. You do 1 thing in the past someone might be offended by, prepare to be cruxified for it.

Sort them and have some go to museums, the lesser and duplicative ones can either be scrapped or something else. You don't need 10-15 statues of the same guy, 3-4 of the better examples is enough to let you get an idea of it. Hell, while you're at it you can work in how they were created as tools to oppress, further driving home the notion of "DON'T DO THIS, IT'S BAD"

To outright destroy every single one as some sort of cover up seems like a terrible idea. I like how Warner Brother Studios put it, to outright remove/edit the content is to basically say the prejudices never happened. Might as well round up all evidence WW2 took place and eventually the survivors/decendants will be gone, so we can have another Hitler... have some summer camps for those that qualify.

Also to say only america is racist is a load of bologna. I usually stay out of some stuff, but I honestly cannot take some seriously anymore. They seem to want to burn everything to the ground, then when it's messed up complain there's nothing left. Well, no shit...

I previously decided against paraphasing a comment I came across some years ago on youtube, because it was pretty yikes. It was someone who claimed to be a white male not understanding why people were so against interracial couples, etc. His reasoning? That's the best way to breed them out. Yep, show your love and care by breeding them out, no ulterior motives here yessiree... I see similiar shit going on with this "destroy it all" so that no lessons can be learned.

Since we're in the subject of roaches and sleeping. I was curious once to find out if roaches could bite, etc.

The answer I got was "yes"
The reason being since they're omnivorous and seeking food anywhere, if you're asleep they might be brave or desperate enough to give you a nibble in your sleep. It's like how wasps might try to take a bit of your flesh.

Now you'll really sleep soundly.

At least it was just a little one. Those bigass American cockroaches that are like 1 1/2 inches long are terrifying to see in flight :<
That's not even as big as can be.

I've literally encountered 2 seperate ones that were over 2 inches in the last week or so, one of which flew. The other decided it wanted to crawl across my bare foot.

It's not the big ones you should really worry about, it's the small ones. The big ones can travel pretty great distances due to flying, which is more of a controlled glide as even the 2-2.5 inchers can only make it about 8-10 feet starting from a height of 6. They can come from anywhere within 100 yards, possibly further. Added note: they're so big you can actually hear them crashing into the side of the house at night mid flight, sounds almost like an acorn being thrown.

It's when you see the juveniles in numbers you should start to worry, as they can't travel remotely as far and thus means a colony or eggsac just hatched nearby.

But yeah, even the best candidates of flyers don't do it that well. It's more of a "I'm above my target, time to slow fall to it"

To this day I think of the most terrifying experiences I've had with a roach is when it was slow flying at my face, but couldn't reach me as I moved, so I got a great view of it flying about 10 inches away for about 6 seconds. It too was one of the 2+ inchers.

You tend to just deal with them in the Southern US.

It's more so because they're part of the force and serve similiarly to a human officer, but on a limited/different scale. They're also an expensive asset that will inevitably die or need to retire, unlike a cruiser that can be refurbished until it's literally unsalvageable.
I recall a city nearby had to send a K9 unit back to training and it was about 60-70k just to acquire the dog after the initial training they do. That's just a dog... sure it's not a human, but harming or hindering their ability to perform their duties isn't quite the same as just harming a random stray/pet. The horse kicking is just natural/instinct, even owners know not to be there and trigger em.
