Super bowl going to disqualify this half time show due to performance enhancing drugs.
This hits so much differently after that episode of "Dark side of football" where they said there was a literal safe of painkillers/blockers in the locker room, and one player was at the point of taking 30-40 pills of painkillers a day just to function, even blacking out during the game mentally due to being so medicated.

And that was perfectly ok, but fired another player for some marijuana use.

I used to wear a wrist watch, then some years ago I got this one you can clip onto anything, such as a belt loop or a backpack. It's actually pretty nice being able to glance down, lift what's basically a pocketwatch without the chain on your belt loop, and you've got the time. It helps you retain the ability to read an analog clock easily, while not having to faff with a phone like some goob in the theater.

But more seriously, yeah, but it's been too long.

Also reminded of the first time I was ever allowed to try... I was only 14 so didn't even have my learner's permit, and my dad let me move the truck a short distance in the yard while he was in the passenger seat. He failed to tell me that you have to apply a bit of throttle when starting. The truck stalled, then he deemed me never being able to learn it. What a teacher.

I could see it, like said... you use the bra and it becomes lax, dependant on the support of the bra.

That said, could still be useful such as a sports bra to help contain them during certain activities.

The real reason behind them is probably for profit of the bra manufacturers perpetuating it, and/or to help conceal the nipple in an outfit. Can't have any impure thoughts or temptation.

Looks lulz now, but that's just how it went.

You have to think more of it in its time frame and what was available/comparable.

I watched a movie called Hell Drivers with super sped up footage of dumptrucks. It looked stupid as hell in 2022, but that's what they did in 1957. So comparing it 1:1 to something from the last 5 years is hard. Does that make it automatically bad/cheap? no, it's just from a different time and that's what worked.

I don't blame you if you 'don't get it' for reasons.

There's 2 things that come to mind.
1, skin is pliable and sags eventually, so the calibration won't last. Eventually that guy with an 8 incher will become 7 or so and she'll call him a liar.
2, this could actually be fairly handy if you ever go to a store or something and want to measure out about 12-16 inches to see if an item will fit on a desk or space.

Because you get attached, then something bad happens to it. So because he had a dog, that eventually died, he basically said none of us could ever have a cat or dog.

Then I had to walk back and wait to be picked up.

It was an adventure, a lame one, but yeah.

I forget which car, probably an old Imperial or Continental, but I do know Jay Leno owns it. It had a cigarette lighter and ashtray in each door (4 door), and the rear window had a space where it could help cycle the smoke out. Think it had 10 ashtrays...

It's a great example of the times.

Did you also know about the flag of Bikini Atoll? Or that 3 of the islands were literally reduced to craters and deleted from the surface? You can actually see the craters from google's sat view.

Bonus, you can see Prinz Eugen's stern and props jutting up next to the Marshall islands (also visible from satellite), and pretty sure Nagato sank near by as well, as both were used as nuclear test targets.

Prinz Eugen was the German heavy cruiser that escorted Bismarck on the famed pursuit that resulted in the destruction of both Hood and Bismarck.
Nagato was the first Imperial Japanese battleship with 16.1" rifles, and pretty much the only battleship to 'survive' the war. It was done for before the end of the war due to damage.

Ok so with this. I'm fine with banning weapons that have proven to be faulty like that. I'm pro second ammendment as it gets but safety functions better work I won't even load 2 guns I own cause I've read where they are prone to discharging if dropped. One has a recall on it I just never got around to and the other is old as hell and apparently banned from being imported because of it
The firing pin malfunction is a low chance and usually for those that don't care for it. It's still a chance, though. If you really wanna boggle your mind, there's the Yugoslav M59/66 variant with a... get this, grenade launcher system integrated into the barrel. It's only illegal in CA last I checked, but good luck not blowing yourself up using it. The rifle also has the benefit of garand thumb as well.

Sad thing is there's worse offenders in circulation.

Damn sorry I didn't know it was loaded

*Fires again*
It's totally plausible, depending on the firearm and condition of it. There's a reason it's not a great idea to load an SKS indoors, as the simple act of letting the bolt close can set off 1-3 rounds from a stuck firing pin. No need to touch the trigger and the safety won't stop it.

That out of the way, I still can't fathom people that try to clean the firearm without checking it first. It's complacency at its finest...
"oh I've handled firearms for years, it's totally fine" *pulls trigger on a loaded weapon, because it became routine*

Ok, complacency might not be the correct word, but y'know what I mean. Laziness from becoming too comfortable with something potentially deadly, so let's ignore simple rules.

No!

I jest, but I do say that as someone recovering from it. I'm fully vax'd as still dealing with it, and the best part is I didn't have to leave the house to get it.

Either way, you can still get it, but it's not as bad. I think my worst was last sunday where I got so dizzy/pissed off because I couldn't breathe properly for 2-3 hours. You ever get your nasal passage blocked so you can't breathe during sleep? it was like that but during normal upright activity.

I also never had a fever... but basically had all the rest.

>:/

So yeah, you should probably go ahead and get it out of the way unless you have highly reasonable doubt/concerns. The irony is it transferred to me, through someone else that's also vaccinated, by someone who apparently wasn't.
